ABOUT LYNN KLEINERLynn Kleiner is an internationallyrecognized leader in music educationand has been teaching since 1978. Sheis the founder and director of MusicRhapsody.
Lynn is a popular presenter for theAOSA (American Orff SchulwerkAssociation) as well as OrffAssociations in several countriesworldwide. She is also a frequentpresenter for national and internationalearly childhood associations.
AN ORFF-BASED APPROACH
German music educator Carl Orff said that children learn to hear and make musicbefore they learn to read and write it, much like how they learn spoken language.
Orff includes activities that all kids like to do: sing, chant rhymes, clap, dance, andplay instruments. Musical concepts, vocabulary, form, harmony and expressivequalities as well as pitch matching and listening skills are taught in a joyful, game-like atmosphere.
