The multisensor suction smokedetector Helios TDS is a detectionsystem for earliest fire detection.Helios TDS is an intelligent firedetector with highest sensitivity. It detects smallest concentrations of thermal decomposition productsin the sucked air reliably and nuisance-safe.
The optionally available fire gasdetector GMX1002 CO belongs to a new generation of fire detectorsfor an even more reliable earlydetection of burgeoning fires. For the first time – developed byMinimax – there is a fire detectorfor the detection of smoulderingfires available, which reacts on carbon monoxide.
Four alarm relays and one mal-function relay with one floatingchangeover contact each facilitateconnection to any fire detectionsystem.Together with the Minimax firedetection control panels, singledetector identification can be realized via MxLoop® ring bus technology.
Multisensor suction smoke detectorHelios TDS is especially suitable formonitoring air conditioned roomsand other areas, where a reliableearly detection is required:
- information and communication technologies
- electronic and electrical systems- high-quality production systems- clean and super-clean rooms- medical areas- control rooms- suspended ceilings- false floors- cable ducts - cultural assets

The air flow is measured with a volume flow sensor andcompared to the adjusted setpoint value. Deviations(pipe break or choking) of ±10% can already be reliablydetected and release an alarm.
The detector measures the laser light scattering causedby thermal decomposition products at two differentangles and thus, it ensures nuisance-safe detection of burgeoning fires. Four alarm thresholds can be pro-grammed for the entire measuring range, so that Helioscan be individually adjusted to the basic particle load inthe monitoring room.

Function
Multisensor suction smoke detector Helios TDS uses an optical two-channel laser measuring system for qualitative and quantitative smoke particle analysis(twin-detection system). Optionally a CO fire gas detec-tor can be used depending on the monitored fire load.Air probes of the monitored area are sucked via a pipework and supplied to the optical measuring chamber and optionally to the CO fire gas detector of the Helios TDS.
