Key Achievements

• 7 Workshops– Developed and provided workshops for HPCC and other

local partners on how to use powerpoint 2010, how to build a website, moodle elearning, LAN/WAN network, Computer Repair and other soft-skill workshops like Gender Equality and Time Management

• Websites, webdesign handbook & Network– Support HPCC on designed and built their LAN/WAN

network and built their websites, also prepared web design handbooks, powerpoint slideshows and other

soft-skill documents.

Challenges

• Languages barrier– Accent, slang, and differences of terminology between

the North and South Vietnam.

• The Facilities– The working environment and the facilities, sometime a

little less than what I expected, especially in my field (Information Technology)

• Time Management– Time managment is an issue here, so be

ready for the delay and unexpected

Lessons learnt

• Languages– I’ve learnt a lot so far, and I believe that there’s a lot

more for me to learn.

• The Cultrure– I’ve been updated my own cultrure, and I’ve learned

many other things here in Vietnam.

Advices for WUSC Vietnam / Volunteers

• For Uniterra Program & WUSC Vietnam– I would take this opportunity to thanks everyone for

being such a good guidance and giving me the opportunity to work, to share and to learn.

• For Volunteers– Like Hanh’s always said « Don’t worry, be flexible »

Yes be flexible and give yourself a little time to find out exactly what the local partners really want, before you want to move on with your decision on what you are going to do or to implement your ideas or any new methodology.
