My Career Choice and Plan

I have chosen the position as a daily newspaper reporter for my life plan career.

There are many skills as well as requirements you must accomplish before holding this position.

In order to become a daily newspaper reporter, there are requirements you must accomplish in education.

●Internship at a news station based on your interest (Television, newspaper, local, etc.). ●High school diploma. ●Bachelors degree based on your interest. Examples of course for future journalists listed below: - Communication course. - Journalism course. - Broadcast journalist. - Law and ethics,- Etc.

If you are up for the challenge, journalists are able to get their masters degree in journalism by enlisting in an Master

of New reporting course.

- Receive my High School Diploma. - Apply in a college that has different journalism courses. - Save money up in order to put myself through school.

- While in school, try to receive an internship in a local newspaper. - Receive my Bachelors Degree.

- Begin working for a newspaper as a daily reporter. - Overtime, try to receive Masters degree in Journalism.

- Always work towards my own daily newspaper column in a newspaper, whether local, or national.

In order to obtain the career I have chosen, I have created a plan to succeed.

There are many benefits to becoming a daily newspaper reporter. Besides my love for writing and informing the American people, many of these benefits are the

reason I’ve chosen this career!

-Able to inform people of news. -Traveling.

-Witnessing events and history firsthand. -Always meeting new people.

-Adventures while trying to capture a picture or story. -Never stop learning and uncovering news and information.

Journalists are known for have certain characteristics that make them great for such a job.

-Friendliness. -Interests in writing or editing.

-Interest in world events and news. -Confident. -Persistent.

-Interest and knowledge in law. -Curious.

-Interest in photography. Etc.

I still have quite a long ways to go, and a lot to learn. However, I’ve thought about my daily life as a daily newspaper reporter. This is what I expect in my daily life as

a newspaper journalist.

1. Head to work. 2. Research certain events or interests that are of people.

3. Study and contact sources. 4. Get permission and travel to interview people of the story, or do a survey.

5. Travel to get photographs of the news story or event. 6. Come home and begin going through notes and recordings to outline article.

7. Get home and eat dinner. 8. Begin working on final draft of newspaper article.
