Short Term Work Experience
British Airways Component Development 24th Feb- 28th Feb 2014
During the time with BA I disassembled, cleaned and reassembled parts including a door release cylinder before pressure testing it. I also got to test a Boeing 747 starter engine. Then I looked round the hangers and got to see where the part fitted onto the aircraft.
Nick Heath the Farrier 25th Feb- 1st March 2013
During this time with Nick I got to make horse shoes, remove the shoes from horses and hold horses while there new shoes are fitted.
On Your Bike Cycles 28th June – 2nd July 2010
During this time at On Your Bike Cycles I learnt how to repare and maintain bikes.I Also served customers.
Current employment:
I currently work for McColl’s in Ivythorn road store. I have worked there for over a year. My duties include:
Serving customers Working the tillServing on the deli Stocking the shelves keeping shop tidy
Previous Employment: Between March 2013 – January 2014 I worked at Tip Top kennels during this time I walked dogs, cleaned kennels, fed the dogs and cats.
Between February 2012 – September 2013 I worked in the Milk No Sugar Coffee Lounge during this time I served customers, worked the till, washed up, kept the café tidy and cooked food.
Hobbies and Interests
From a young age I have always had an interest in aviation, this lead me to take up Air Cadets where I learnt leadership skills, team work, shooting and increased my knowledge of aviation. From this I took up Gliding privately where I went solo in a Glider at the age of 16 and achieved my A badge. In May 2013 I completed a tandem parachute jump from 15000 feet to raise money for Help for Heroes and raised £440. For the last 4 years I have been an active St John Ambulance volunteer I have attended events at Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm museum, Yeovil Town Football Club and New Year Eve celebrations in London. I attend training evenings every Monday for the last three years. Also within St John Ambulance I help with the Badgers which are a group of 5-10 year olds that learn everything from First Aid to being creative. Last year I took up diving where I completed an Ocean Diver course with Street Sub Aqua club.
