APRESENT AÇÃO
My English Grammar constitui um auxiliar de referência na tua
aprendizagem do inglês de 2.º Ciclo.
Tens aqui mais uma oportunidade de aprofundares os teus conheci-
mentos acerca da gramática da língua inglesa, através das sistemati-
zações dos conteúdos gramaticais de Ciclo, acompanhadas de regras
em português, bem como das traduções e exemplos em língua inglesa.
Acreditamos que a tomada de consciência de como funciona uma
língua é meio caminho para a sua aprendizagem: em My English
Grammar explicamos-te como funciona a língua inglesa, para que,
depois, a ponhas em prática.
É importante nesta fase de aprendizagem que adquiras e interiorizes
hábitos de consulta, para que aprendas a estudar sozinho e a procurar
as respostas de que precisas.
Assim, de forma esquemática, essencial e sintetizada, aqui te apresen-

A TENÇ Ã O1. I (1.ª pessoa do singular) – escreve-se sempre com le tra
maiúscula, mesmo quando es tá no meio de uma frase.
2. YOU (2.ª pessoa do singular) – usa-se tan to no singular como
no plural ( tu / vós).
3. Terceiras pessoas do singular: HE – usa-se no masculino (ele) •
SHE – usa-se no feminino (ela) • IT – usa-se quando nos
referimos a ob je tos ou a animais no singular (ele / ela).
4. THE Y – usa-se para o masculino e feminino e quando nos
referimos a ob je tos, a pessoas ou animais no plural.
