My Evaluation of appealing to social groupsMy opening sequence represents members of the police force as well as criminals and gangs. The representation of gang members in my opening sequence is minimal as the audience dont meet the members or head of the gang until halfway through the narrative. My main character is represented as an independent, once strong willed woman who used to work with the police.The way working women are portrayed is done in order to help my female audience associate with the feelings and thoughts of my main character. Sarah is made to look tired and deflated before she hears a thud at which point she becomes alert and on-point. Her movements almost become bionic as she makes her way upstairs in the hope of catching the intruder.At this point in my opening sequence my female audience should feel a sense of pride in the knowledge that Sarah shows no fear in facing the intruder, It is clear she is trying to be discreet although not timid as she searches the bedroom.
