My hands with the new museum of my city

Although I'm not a curator I’ve been benefited by this programme

I spent most of my time at the British Museum in Ancient Egypt and Sudan Department.

The remainder of my time was spent on sessions with the whole group.

Sessions were a mixture of presentations, visits to galleries, storerooms, external exhibitions and other museums, but also practical sessions and seminars.

Exhibitions and galleries planning and delivery.

Collections management.

Conservation and storage areas.

Education programmes and children activities.

Development of research projects.

Developing museum buildings.

Museums and communities.

fundraising and commercial activities.

It was a good opportunity to see the strong links to local

histories, and how the local museum is running and simply

managed.
