History of Smythesdale

Smythesdale is a small town with a small population of 300 people located 19km from Ballarat, Victoria. Smythesdale used to be a Gold mining town back in the Gold rush era. The town of Smythesdale features The court house hotel, antique shops, an old blue stone lock up police station built in 1869 and also a new police station. In more recent years Smythesdale now has a supermarket, milk bar, butchers, post office, petrol station and computer museum. There is lots to do in Smythesdale we have a skate park, a recreation facility, local gardens and a pony club.

About my schoolMy school is positioned also in

Smythesdale it is a public school that is grade prep to grade 6 there is around 60 kids at my school. Our school has a vegetable garden we use most of our vegetables for meal deals at lunch times. Our school also runs a range of sports for students to participate in after school.

My uniformWe wear blue shorts, pants or

a skirt with a gold T-shirt, blue jumper or checked dress.

I enjoy my time at primary school and Smythesdale is a great town to live in.
