MY LIFE AS A SHOWTheatre Production
Mrs. Abbott
PLOT OUTLINEYou will create a chronology (timeline) of major life events (past and future…be creative with your future). This can be a simple list or an illustrated number line. Put the year on the left and describe the major event to its right. Include details! Think about the future! Where do you want to be in 5,10,20, 50, etc years from now?
Example: (YOU NEED MORE THAN THIS): This is just an example of how to write one event.
I danced all through elementary, middle and high school, ballet, my Freshman year of high school I was at a dress rehearsal for a ballet, I slipped on some confetti back stage, fell into the splits at a wrong angle, and tore my hamstring. So instead of being in the ballet, I watched it wearing a baby doll dress and combat boots.
If it hasn’t happened yet…make it up!!! You need 10 specific life events, try for 5 in the past and 5 in the future.
THEATRE POSTERYou will complete a color rendering of a theatrical poster on paper or poster board 8 x 10 in size. You must include the title of your show, the author, appropriate font, illustration, be creative. Please title your show something more creative than “My Life”.
Make sure to add: Color Pictures Important People
EXAMPLE:
COSTUME DESIGNDesign two costumes for yourself for two major events in your life
(These events must appear in your Plot Line). Designs should be in color with fabric suggestions or swatches.
