When clients began requesting a quicker, less labor-in-tensive option for capturing their memories, Malizia gave them My Life Moments. Created with hand cut and pulled silkscreen techniques, each moment can be recreated as one unique piece or multiple prints of the same composi-tion. Varied multiples are a favorite gift item for wedding parties, college graduates, special occasions and sharing that special moment with everyone in the family.

Transforming personal memories into original artMy Life Studio began with what we now call My Life Memories. To create these works, Michael Malizia uses keepsakes provided by his clients, and employs traditional mediums including encaustic, watercolors, oil and acrylic paints, as well as his signature hand-dyed silk, to create personalized works of art. People. Pets. Locations. Corpo-rate Logos. My Life Memories has proven its versatility over and over. Each personalized artwork is completely origi-nal, created with the client’s taste and aesthetic in mind.

Michael Malizia is an accomplished fine artist whose mixed media paintings are beloved by collectors worldwide. His work has been exhibited in numer-ous galleries and featured in publications including The Huffington Post and Just Luxe Magazine. He lives in New Jersey with his wife and two daughters and is always happy to welcome curious visitors and potential clients, along with their kids and pets, into his Hoboken and Bay Head, NJ studios.

It all started with that portrait of his daughters and before he knew it artist Michael Malizia was flooded with requests from friends and collectors to create custom, personalized artworks for them.

From beloved pet portraits to gifts for grandma, Malizia fell in love with the process of sharing ideas and stories with clients and transforming their beloved keepsakes into treasured heirlooms. One fine art piece synthesized their entire story.

A B O U T T H E P R O C E S S

Each original artwork begins with a consultation in which Malizia learns about his clients, their ideas, preferences and tastes. Consultations can take place at our studio in Hoboken or Bay Head, New Jersey or entirely via phone or email.

Clients follow up by providing Malizia with source mate-rial—such as drawings, ticket stubs, textiles, photos, hand-prints, or even paw prints as his starting place. (Don’t wor-ry, copies of irreplaceable originals are fine too!)

Then the alchemy begins. Malizia utilizes various medi-ums and techniques including collage, encaustic, pastiche, watercolor, hand dyed silk, oil, acrylic and spray paint to transform cherished memories into powerful, personalized works of art.

Finished artworks can be shipped all over the world. The artist will include a handmade, personalized card with gifts.
