My magazine name

I had two titles that I couldn’t decide between, they were THE MIX and SOLO.

I liked The Mix because it could easily be identified as a music magazine name. The Mix could be linked with a mix of songs or music being played on a record player. I thought it would link well with my genre of music too. It links to record players, which demonstrates that it’s quite indie/alternative which is my genre of music. I liked the length of the title as I thought I would have a lot of options with what I could to do with it on my cover page as my mast head. One of the options was to have it in block capital letters. My inspiration for this came from Loud and Quiet.

THE MIXMy other choice of title was SOLO. I liked this as I thought it was quite different and unique. I thought of the name after I decided on my genre. Having an alternative style means that you are unique to yourself and are separate from everyone else is doing. This is how I came up with SOLO. Solo means that you are alone and separate, therefore I thought it links well with my genre of music. I like the idea of having a shorter mast head, like NME, and thought this would work well with SOLO. The double ‘O’ looks aesthetically pleasing, therefore that drew me into liking this name also. I have two thoughts about how I may have my mast head. These are:
