MY ROLE DURING EMERGENCY EMERGENCY
CONTROLLER
1. To decide the level of emergency i.e. whether off site
emergency plan should be
initiated or not.
2. To ensure emergency services be called in and directed to the
site. (This shall be
done in coordination with Communication controller).
3. To ensure that key personnel are called and exercise control
on those parts of
the factory which are outside the scene of incident.
4. To continuously assess the development to find out most
probable course of
actions.
5. To direct evacuation of personnel from the site of
emergency.
6. To direct control of traffic movement within the site. (This
shall be done by giving
directions to the Security Incharge / Supervisor).
7. To arrange for recording of events in chronological order.
(This shall be done
by a reporter nominated by E C).
8. To make arrangement for replacement of emergency handling
team members, if
needed.
9. To control the rehabilitation of affected area, after the
emergency is over.
10. To communicate with media through designated personnel
only.

MY ROLE DURING EMERGENCY SITE CONTROLLER
1. Assess the situation, decide and activate the emergency
procedure.
2. Take actions for controlling the incident, securing the
safety of personnel
and minimizing damage to environment, plant and material.
3. Direct rescue and fire fighting (if any) operations at
site.
4. Co-ordinate with emergency services at site.
5. Search for causalities and arrange aid to them.
6. Evacuate non-essential persons from site to Assembly
Points.
7. Ensure good communication with Emergency Control Centre.
8. Preserve evidence for enquiry.

MY ROLE DURING EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION
CONTROLLER
1. Be present at Emergency control center from where he can make
internal and
external calls, telephonically and/or on mobile phone.
2. To guide/instruct the Security Incharge to call fire tenders,
additional ambulance
if so required.
3. To coordinate with Emergency controller for mobilising
resources from outside
agencies.
4. To contact Medical controller for any requirement of
additional AMBULANCEand other Medical help, if needed.
5. To inform Emergency controller about the actions taken.
6. To contact civil authorities and other concerned persons in
the vicinity and inform
them of the incident and advise remedial actions to be taken by
them, for off-site
rescue operations.

CONTROLLER
1. To give necessary medical help to the needy persons.
2. To send the help to the site of emergency to take out any
injured and transport
them to Hospital.
3. To contact with the Communication controller for the medical
help from outside
agencies, if required.

MY ROLE DURING EMERGENCY RESCUE
CONTROLLER
1. To coordinate with Emergency controller in dealing with the
emergency
situation specially the Rescue and salvage of trapped manpower
and important
material.
2. To advise the supporting staff to take out the trapped
personnel from the site of
emergency to the safer area so that these persons can be moved
to medical
room or outside the premises for necessary medical help.
3. To execute the above mentioned jobs, keep ready with himself
the following
items.
ii) Stretchers
iii) Two insulated hooks for removing hazardous electrical
cables etc.
iv) Two sets of full body aprons and neutralizing canister face
masks with
the help of which the rescue operation shall be carried out
where the
atmosphere is Toxic or smoky.
4. He shall keep in touch with AGM Safety for taking necessary
precautions
during Rescue and Salvage Operations w. r. t. safety of rescuer
and rescued.
