It’s a place and time to remember and find support when dealing with the loss of a family member. One-day retreat on February 6 Join the prayer guides at Knock Shrine for a day of reflection, called ‘Quiet Days for Busy People’, on February 6. Participants will take part in three sessions throughout the day, focussed on prayer, reflection and spiritual renewal. The retreat costs €30 and includes lunch at Knock House Hotel. Important Public Meeting Re A Community Plan Knock has been chosen for “Community Futures” a process organised by Mayo County Council to help communities develop a Community Plan for residents. A public meeting is being held in the Main Hall, St. John’s Rest and Care Centre on Monday 1 February at 8.00pm to give information and it’s your chance to become involved. It would be important for all groups/ organisations/station areas/localities to have a number of people present. For further information email [email protected] The Irish Pilgrimage Trust Church-gate Collection will take place next weekend, 30 and 31 January. All proceeds will go directly towards bringing young people with Special Needs to Lourdes at Eastertime. Your support would be greatly appreciated St. Colman’s College Enrolment evening for 1st year students takes place in St. Colman’s College on Tuesday 2 February at 5.30pm. Scottish Burns Night Knock Counselling Centre will host a Scottish “Burns Supper” on Saturday 30 January at Knock House Hotel in aid of their Adolescent Counselling Service. The directory is a colorful and attractive production, full of information and data on parish, community, school, cluster, deanery and diocesan interest. The cost is the same as the last directory from 2010 and remains a bargain at just €5. Not to be missed. Aghamore GAA Club History Research is continuing on the history of Aghamore GAA Club. The committee would welcome contributions expecially photographs from the years, 1920’s up to 1960’s and any photographs of the Knock team of the 30’s and early 40’s. Photographs of Aghamore teams involved in County Finals at any age level would be appreciated as would photographs of presentations and other club events. Please include names, if possible.
