Put the template file into the Office Template Folder. It will then appear as a Template on the Power Point pull-down menus.(The template file Jeopardy.pot is smNaval Organization 280kb)(i.e., File, New, General [tab]).
CUSTOM SLIDE SHOWThis Training aid is a CUSTOM SLIDE SHOW presentation.
This One Round template contains 59 slides.Only 12(14) of these are programmed to be the JEOPARDY slide show. (The show loops until the Final Question or until ESC/ Stop is pressed.)
(To see the slides in the show select the following menus: Slide show, Custom Shows…, Jeopardy Show, Edit)

Each game Matrix slide contains hyperlinks to the corresponding answer/question slide. (TEXT hyperlinks are bold, underlined ex.- 100)
When a hyperlink is activated by a mouse click, • the presentation jumps (branches) to the question slide, • displays the slide (performing any animation on the slide) • and on the next click, returns to the game matrix.
If a player presses any of the following keys the presentation will resume with the next slide.
• the “N” (next) or “P” (previous)• the page up (previous) / page down (next) • Space Bar (next) / enter (next)• clicks the mouse when it is not over a hyperlink

Game Builder Instructions 6To create a new Game:
Research 1-12 Categories AND a Final Category(30 questions for 6 Categories / 60 questions for 12 Categories)
- REPLACE the standard Category labels (example for Category 1)(Category titles are limited to approximately twenty Characters).
1. Press CTRL-H, to perform a search and replace.
2. In the “Find What” box enter: Category 1(period)”(It is very Important to enter a period after the number for Category 1, Failure to enter the period will replace categories 10,11,12 with YourTitle0,1,2 respectively).
3. In the “Replace With” box enter: (Your Category title) ex. EW 3&2
4. Select Replace Naval Organization. For each Category there will be 13 replacements (Game matrix column, 6 slides 2 each.)
5. Repeat steps 1-4 to perform Replacements for the other categories.
Game Builder Instructions 7DAILY DOUBLES (D.D.)
The D.D. slides for rounds 1 & 2 are at the end of the template.
The DD slides are not hyper-linked into the presentation.
The next several slides will assist the game builder in linking the D.D. slides into the game matrix. These slides show the PowerPoint menus that must be used to create the necessary hyperlinks.
The builder must create two hyperlinks to link the DD.(Note- The game will run just fine without Daily Doubles)
The 1st link will link the Game matrix Action Button to the DD slide.The 2nd link will link the DD slide to the correct Answer/question slide.
Create Daily Double Hyper-links:1. Link the Category 1 - 500 point Action button to the R-1 Daily Double slide. (G.B. Inst. Slide 9)2. Link the R-1 Daily Double slide to the Category 1 - 500 point Action button (G.B. Inst. Slide 10).
Game Builder Instructions 8NOTES ON HYPER LINKS
On the game matrix board the ACTION Button TEXT ( 100 ) is hyper-linked to the corresponding slide,
e.g.. the “Category 1 - 100 button text” links to the “Category 1 100 question slide”.
If an action button, the Action button TEXT, or the corresponding slide is deleted the hyperlink goes with it.
Note- Both the Action Button, AND the TEXT can have SEPARATE HYPER LINKS. This fact must be remembered if you wish to create daily doubles for each round.
