July 26-28, 2020 Exhibitor Notes & Rules (Northeast District FFA Rules)
1. The Northeast District FFA Expo is designed for members of the Northeast District FFA and the FFA Chapters it represents.
a. Eligibility of FFA Members i. Active members of the FFA who are continuing their supervised agricultural experience
program are eligible. Junior high members may show only if the local FFA Chapter has an active junior high FFA.
ii. Incoming freshman members must be approved by the advisor of their chapter iii. All animals entered in this department must be the bona fide property of the exhibitor as a
part of his/her regular Supervised Agricultural Experience Program. The local advisor is held responsible for the strict enforcement of this rule and is encouraged to accompany the exhibitor(s) to the fair.
iv. Exhibitors must show under the chapter in which their dues are paid. 2. The judges will place classes according to merit in Gold, Silver and Bronze groups. Unworthy exhibits
will be market unclassified. 3. CODE OF ETHICS – The Audrain County 4-H Foundation has graciously invited us to hold our fair on
their facilities. Exhibitors will influence public opinion regarding the FFA and are asked to conduct themselves according to the Code of Ethics.
a. Missouri State Fair - Animal Code of Ethics will be followed b. Believing it is in the best interest of all junior exhibitors to maintain a reputation of integrity and
to present a wholesome and progressive image, the Missouri State Fair sets forth the following regulation. 4-H and FFA members are expected to conduct themselves according to the best traditions of their respective organizations. Inappropriate conduct such as drinking, stealing, vandalism, and indiscreet behavior WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
c. Any violation of this rule will be grounds for disqualifying the exhibitor and/or livestock involved. Further, any premium monies earned will be forfeited.
4. BEDDING/SANITATION – All bedding must be cleaned up by the exhibitor at the conclusion of the show and placed at the designated area. The same instructions apply to those tying at stock trailers. Committee chairpersons will release the exhibitor once stalls are clean.
5. Showing a. Exhibitors must exhibit their animals. The show Superintendents may permit another Missouri
junior exhibitor to show an animal in case of illness or physical handicap. b. Uncontrollable animals or an animal that the exhibitor cannot handle alone may be disqualified
by the Superintendent and required to leave the ring. If a beef cattle animal gets loose twice it will be dismissed from the show ring and the judge will classify it into a ribbon grouping.
c. In cases where a member has more than one animal in a class, another Missouri junior exhibitor must show the second animal.
d. Minimal assistance is allowed by another Missouri junior exhibitor, at the discretion of the Superintendent.
Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of the premiums for the exhibitor. If the exhibitor cannot be identified but the chapter is, the school will forfeit their premiums in that division. ABUSE TO ANIMALS

Dear FFA Supporter, The Northeast District FFA Expo is a new event, created to promote agriculture through showcasing student projects and exhibits at a district level. The Expo will be an all-inclusive district fair for FFA members. Members will be able to exhibit the following: beef, dairy, swine, sheep, goats, poultry, rabbits, horses, fruits/vegetables, agricultural mechanics, and country cured hams. The dates for the 2020 Northeast District FFA Expo will be July 26-28 at the Audrain County Fairgrounds in Mexico, MO. Currently, we are seeking sponsorships to assist with awards and premiums for the exhibitors. Attached you will find an outline of the sponsorship levels. If your company or business chooses to donate items/supplies then please attach a value so you will receive the appropriate recognition. Any and all sponsorships will be accepted! Over sixty schools through the northeast part of the state have the opportunity to participate in this expo. In 2019, over 250 students showing 475 building projects and over 450 animals! The agricultural teachers serving on the committee to host this event have been working hard to plan and promote this event to allow more students to have the opportunity to participate in shows and expos. We understand you are asked to sponsor your own individual county fairs as well, but we hope you can assist our District FFA as well. We are excited to work with your business, as well as district FFA chapters and individuals to have a successful Northeast District FFA Expo. Thank you, Northeast District Fair Committee Jason Vandivort – Elsberry FFA Josh Bondy – Paris FFA Stacy French – Community R-VI FFA
