These criteria relate to basic safety, responsibility, and accountability. 1 . Demonstrates clinical preparation a. Describes pathophysiology of client condition b. Prepared for medication administration c. Explains medical diagnostic tests and treatment regimens d. Prepares tentative plan of care COMMENTS: Katie was prepared for each clinical experience by having clinical guides complete and submitted on time. 2. Exercises professional behavior with clients, faculty, and other health care professionals. a. Provides a safe environment for client b. Provides nursing measures with respect to client dignity, autonomy, and diversity c. Assumes accountability and responsibility for own actions b. Accepts guidance and adapts behavior accordingly c. Maintains client confidentiality COMMENTS: Katie exhibited professional behaviors to faculty, staff, patients and their families, and fellow students and maintained patient confidentiality during the clinical experience. Additionally, the student was accepting of guidance regarding behavior. 3. Exhibits personal professional behavior consistent with: a. Attends all assigned clinical experiences b. Is punctual for clinical experience c. Submits assignments as directed. d. Appropriate dress according to agency and student handbook guidelines for both preplanning and clinical experiences. COMMENTS: Katie attended all clinical experiences, was on time, and was in dress code for each experience. Assignments were submitted as directed and on time. 4.
