• ISEG CAN buso One module has two CAN-nodes, crate is one node. So one fully
populated crate with 8 Modules EDS 20 130n_504 equals 17 CAN-nodes
o Not more than 3 crates per cableo Peak PCAN-PCI two channel cards

Short reminder -2
• ELMB CAN buso In addition to the CAN bus signals the cable also provide the
power for the ELMBs (12V) o Thick cable (SCEM code 04.21.60.491.2) will be used for long
distance to minimize the voltage drop, thin cable (SCEM code 04.21.60.430.5) for local distribution + junction box “a la ATLAS” (has to be investigated)
o Fixed double cable “PHOENIX CONTACT” connectorso Kvaser PCIcanx 4xHS cards
• WIENER CAN buso Kvaser PCIcanx 4xHS cardso TCP/IP option for the WIENER equipment control is under
consideration. Price for one fan-tray unit• CAN bus: 627 EURO• TCP/IP: 755 or 991 EURO• In total we will have about 60 crates
