SUMMARY

This refers to your letter received February 4, 201 1 and the conversation between David Ahlvers and Michael Herr on February I O , 201 1. During our review of your letter received February 4, 201 1, we noted that insufficient information was provided to complete our review.

In your letter received February 4, 201 1, you requested that Randy Morris be named as your Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) due to the retirement of Roger Wilson. However we did not receive Mr. Morris’s training documentation for his Radiation Safety Training and Radiation Safety Officer Training, conducted by Missouri State Emergency Management Agency and MoDOT. Please provide Mr. Morris’s training documentation for his attendance to Radiation Safety Training and Radiation Safety Officer Training. conducted by Missouri State Emergency Management Agency and MoDOT.

We now require that proposed RSOs provide a written, signed, and dated statement that they accept the RSO position and that they understand the duties and responsibilities of the position. Please have Mr. Morris provide a written, signed and dated statement that stipulates that he accepts the RSO position and that he understands the duties and responsibilities associated with the position.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC’s “Rules of Practice,” a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the NRC‘s Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS), accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.qov/readinq-rm/adams.html.
