Naming Ionic Compounds Step 1: Get out a Periodic Table!
Before we try some others lets figure out what “ide” looks like for some nonmetals
Level 1: Try a few out

Example: Copper (III) Iodide = CuI3 Gold (VI) iodide = AuI4

manganese (VII) oxide niobium (V) chloride

Rules:1) The metal goes first 2) Second is the nonmetal + ide
