I RunThis City! is a platform for residents of each county to engage amongst themselves and with their leaders on matters of concern to their specific county. The initiative is a citizen-centered campaign premised on the constitutional requirement for citizen participation in governance and development.

The main objectives of the campaign are:

• Give citizens a platform to articulate issues afflicting their immediate neighbourhoods,

• Allow all residents to interact and gauge the performance of their elected representatives,

• Create a reliable information hub for individual counties,

• Create a comprehensive status review of devolution.

Communicate key campaign messages to the public members within the chosen counties.

These messages will be used to mobilize the citizenry to engage with their elected County leadership through the IRunThisCity! fora on website (www.irunthiscity.org), social media (Facebook, Twitter) and mobile telephony (SMS short code).

•People do not believe in themselves. They lack the confidence to suggest solutions to their own day-to-day problems. They let elected leaders dictate their destinies and wait every 5 years to do something about it. That has to stop.

•For this reason, we'll select some of the most compelling contributions from the conversations on-air, online (and perhaps in the live interactions) and package them into 45-second features.

•These features will portray various wananchi from all walks of life voicing their concerns and their ideas. Not because anybody's doing them a favour but because it is their right. You run your county too, paza sauti nawe pia usikike!

following time segments.• 6am – 10am• 12pm – 4pm• 4pm – 8pm
