Mothers’ Day Morning Tea

The school is planning a huge morning tea for all mothers, grandmothers, special friends and the children. The children will prepare the food and we will sit down together and celebrate this important occasion.

The children will also have the opportunity of buying a gift for their Mothers. Each of the gifts will be priced at $2—$5 and they will be wrapped ready for delivery on Sunday morning with breakfast in bed for Mum. The gifts will be on sale from 9.00am.

Mothers’ Day Raffle

Tickets have been distributed to families for the annual Mothers’ Day Raffle, which will be drawn at the morning tea on Friday. I’d like to acknowledge and thank all of the generous sponsors from our community who have donated the prizes for the raffle. The sponsors and prizes are listed on the following page.

School Jumpers Found

I have two school jumpers, sizes 8 and 10, that have been handed in to the office. Both are the new blue and gold design and have had little wear. The size 10 was found on camp so it must belong to one of our grade 5 or 6 children. Please contact the office if your child has lost their jumper and

you believe one of these jumpers could be yours.

Please ensure that all items of uniform are labelled with your child’s name and we will be able to return the items to the owner.

Winter Sports

This Friday Nathalia Primary School will be playing Katunga PS at netball and football as part of the winter sports

program. Winter sports involves all children in grades 5 and 6 and some children who are in grade 4. The

children will leave Nathalia at 1.00pm ready to start playing at Katunga at 1.30pm. Lunch orders will not be

available for the children involved on sports days. Permission notes to enable the children to travel to and from

the sports have been distributed and will need to be returned before Friday.

School Camp

Last week the grade 5 and 6 children attended school camp in Melbourne and we all had a fantastic time. The

children should be complimented on how well they behaved and in the manner they represented our school.

They were first class. Thank you to Mrs Zammit, Miss Inglis and Miss Routledge for accompanying the group. The

teachers spend the camp time away from their families and normal routines for the week while they accompany

and supervise the children. Their efforts are appreciated as the camp could not happen without this contribution.
