glittering lights. The high spirits and joyous mood was celebrated with the officer trainees of the 64th batch of IRS

Christmas party. Dignitaries of the academy were present as Santa Claus (dressed on by 64th batch officer trainees)
made a grand entry proclaiming the good news coupled with gifts for the party.
The Christmas quiz organized by the 64th batch of IRS left the audience racking their brains for answers. The musical
performance that followed drew the audience to tap their feet and sway to the mellifluous music. The Christmas
cake was cut and it followed with a lavish dinner. This Christmas party served as yet another ice-breaking opportu-
nity for the two batches as they danced around the illuminated Christmas tree and kicked in the mood to bid adieu
to 2011.
The New Year’s Eve was equally exciting as the 64th batch of IRS showed great enthusiasm in making it a memora-
ble event for one and all. The evening began with a gorgeous spread for dinner at the basketball court with the DJ
dishing out foot-tapping numbers. As the evening progressed the party mood set in with the officer trainees match-
ing the DJ’s rocking numbers with their moves.
The Course teams of both the batches were present as the OT(S) welcomed 2012 with dance and gaiety wishing a
year of prosperity ahead for everyone. The enthusiasm and the camaraderie shown by everyone around reflected
the importance of taking a break from busy schedules and moments like these where one relaxes therapeutic. It
goes without saying that events like these go a long way to strengthen our association with IRS and cement out ties
within the NADT fraternity.
‘I have the opportunity
Once more to right some wrongs,
To pray for peace, to plant a tree,
And sing more joyful songs!’
