7. Various Camps
National Cadets Corps is one of the biggest voluntary organizations in India. It is functioning
under the direct control of Defense Ministry of India. NCC is divided in to Seventeen
directorates. Maharashtra Directorate is one of them. Strength of NCC unit of college is 54 SD; it
is under the 53, Maharashtra Battalion Latur. Cadets participated in different National level and
state level camps. Cadets of college continuously participated in National level camp such as
RDC, TSC and NIC.
30 Cadets were enrolled in the first year on July 20th 2017 to make a complete strength of
54. As a part of institutional training, first, second year and third year cadets had 28 parades (60
Hours) of stipulated parades. I take pride in saying that our cadets’ representation and
performance in ‘B’ and ‘C’ Certificate Examinations has been outstanding.
We utilized Camp vacancies for the following camps organized at both state and national
level. The aim of these camps is to develop leadership quality among the cadets so that the cadets
acquaint themselves with army rules and discipline.
1. In the Academic year 2017-18 first CATC camp was held from 19th of August to 28th
of August at Bhabhalgaon. In this camp 21 cadets were participated.
2. On 29th Sept 2017 All India Tracking Expedition Kerala (AITE) camp.
3. CATC Aurangabd camp held on 9th January 2017-18.
4. On 17th Jan 2018 CATC Babhalgaon camp was held.
NCC activities:
1. International Yoga Day: Fifty cadets led by the ANO participated in the International
Yoga Day Celebrated at our indoor stadium on 21st June 2017.
2. Enrollment: Sub Major Bhalerao sir guided to NCC Cadet during first year Enrollment.
3. Tree Plantation: On tree plantation was done in our college under the guidance of
respected Principal Dr S.S.Solanke sir, Physical Director and NCC CTO Dr Ashok
Waghmare Sir, NSS Programme Officer Dr Sainath Umate Sir.
4. Blood Donation: NCC Cadets donated blood in the Blood donation Programme
conducted in our college.
5. Independence Day: Independence Day was celebrated with great solicitude and
enthusiasm on 15th August, 2017. In our Education society all colleges comes together
and celebrate Independence Day. The responsibility of making arrangements of
Independence Day is given to NCC department of our college. The National Flag was
unfurled by our Hon’ble Shri Laxmiraman Lahoti (President Dayanand Education
Society Latur). On this occasion Vice-President of DES, Secretary of DES, Principal,
Vice-principal, NCC cadets, students, parents and whole staff of our Dayanand Education
society were present.
7. Republic Day: Republic Day was celebrated with usual fervor and enthusiasm on 26th
January, 2018. In our Education society all colleges comes together and celebrate
Republic Day. The responsibility of making arrangements of Republic day is given to
NCC department of Dayanand college of Science. The National Flag was unfurled by our
Hon’ble Shri Laxmiraman Lahoti (President Dayanand Education Society Latur). On this
occasion Vice-President of Institute, Secretary of Institute, Principal, Vice-principal,
NCC cadets, students, parents and whole staff of our Dayanand Education society were
present.
I wholeheartedly thank our President (Daynanad Education Society), Secretary (Dayanand
Education Society), Principal and Vice-Principal for extending all the support required for NCC
