MEETING ALL EXPECTATIONS

Almost three decades ago Harold and Dolly Orrembarked on one of the most difficult challenges ahorse owner could attempt. The goal ... to establishOrrion Farms as a world class breeding operation.

Dolly understood that money can buy good horses, but the true measure would be their ability to

produce champions of their own.

In 2007, Orrions’ top ten mare Magna Prelude, gavebirth to the beautiful Marwan Al Shaqab, colt

OFW Magic Wan. From the onset, Dolly was sure thathe was going to compete, and win at the breed’s highestlevels. That prediction became a reality when MichaelByatt, made his victory pass leading OFW Magic Wan

to his U.S. National championship last October.

During a visit to Michael Byatt Arabians in the fall of 2010, Mario Zerlotti, and Rinaldo Longuini alongwith Brazilian breeder, Salim Mattar and his group,

witnessed OFW Magic Wan. At that moment they allagreed this was a stallion to be had. After careful consideration, and back and forth negotiations,

an agreement was made.

On June 1st 2010, Dolly welcomed Salim to OrrionFarms, to see Magic Wan’s first foal crop; a crop thathad been viewed by several breeders and horsemen. After each showing the people said they had never seen so many top babies at one farm. Magic Wan’s

babies did not disappoint. Those same comments wereexpressed by Salim, Mario, Rinaldo, and the group

with them. Dolly’s elation from their response called for high fives and a champagne celebration. They toasted Magic Wan, a sire that is going to leave an

indelible mark on the Arabian breed for years to come.

Dolly Orr, and Orrion Farms look forward to working with Salim and Zerlotti Equine over the next

several years as dedicated breeders strive to produce the highest level of world class Arabians.

“When I saw Magic Wan as a weanling I thought he was special. When Ishowed him as a yearling, I knew he was special. When he won the Emir’sCup in Doha, Qatar as a two-year-old, others proclaimed him special. As athree year old, when Magic Wan was U.S. National Champion, his legendcontinued to grow. When I saw Magic Wan’s first babies this year I knewMagic Wan was one of our breed’s superstars!” ~Michael Byatt

"I first saw Magic Wan in Scottsdale as a yearling and I flipped over him. I predicted National titles, and I was right. After seeing his first foal crop atOrrion Farms this year, all I can say is wow! Not since the first foal crops of *Bask, over 30 years ago, have I been so impressed. Keep your eyes onMagic Wan." ~Johnny Downing

“I recently had the opportunity to see twenty foals by OFW Magic Wan and each one I saw was better than the one before. They were all amazing. It looks like OFW Magic Wan is not only a beautiful individual but a veryspecial breeding horse as well. Congratulations!” ~ Greg Knowles

“OFW Magic Wan is an amazing individual with the exact characteristic’sthat I look for in choosing a stallion to breed too. When searching for theright stallion to cross with Sr. Umberto Bonini’s illustrious group of maresthe choice was simple to go with OFW Magic Wan. We are very anxious tosee his foals next year and to cheering them on as they make there way intothe show circuit around the world.”

“I am proud and honored to have the privilege of standing NationalChampion *OFW Magic Wan at my facility. I first saw him as a yearlingin Scottsdale and fell in love with him on the spot. During our visit toMichael Byatt Arabians, we never thought realistically that the horse couldbe purchased, but we knew that we must try. When that became a realityand Magic Wan went on to win the title of U.S. National ChampionFuturity Colt, the emotions were indescribable.

My emotions grew even higher following my visit to Orrion Farms where Iwitnessed one of the most beautiful foal crops I have ever seen. To see thesmile on Salim’s face was absolutely priceless.Thank you, Salim, for entrusting me with this magnificent individual.”

~Mario Zerlotti

"Magic Wan is a stallion that comes straight out of the textbook. Beautiful, short face, well placed, large eyes, fine muzzle and good ears. He has a shapely neck, well set on a sloping shoulder, an ideal, short back, high and straight tail carriage and good legs. All this is topped up with akind temperament. A pedigree that lines up the most successful stallions ofthe day, Marwan al Shaqab, Magnum Psyche and Bey Shah. An accom-plished show horse with championships both in the U.S. and the MiddleEast. Exciting times lie ahead for my good friend Salim Mattar and all thoseinvolved with this formidable stallion."

"I have always liked Magic Wan. The first time I saw him he was a yearling, and Doug stayed with us in Scottsdale at the North's farm. Thisyear, I was invited by Johnny Downing to visit Orrion Farms. He told me Ineed to go see the best babies he has seen in a long time. When I arrived atthe farm, they started showing me all this beautiful foals. I was veryimpressed with his production.

Long story short, they showed me the colt that Johnny was talking about. He blew me away. It was a done deal from the moment I saw him. I calledmy client right away, and we bought him. I am very glad that Mario andRinaldo helped Salim on the purchase of this great, young stallion. He willdo amazing things, in Brazil and all around the world"

~Rodolfo Guzzo.

“Well, where does one start in describing such an amazing individual inOFW Magic Wan? All Arabian stallion owners throughout the world thrive for the adrenaline rush of their horse being called a “Champion” andespecially at the highest of levels. But the ultimate triumph for any stallionowner is when that Champion individual turns into a sire. An individualwho people seek to use in their program a horse that makes the telephone’sring non stop and fills your email box to the fullest. I have been blessed to beinvolved with some of the greatest stallions in the breed and it is with greatpleasure to say that National Champion OFW Magic Wan is definitely atthe top of this list and is off to an amazing start in his venture to becomeone of the Arabian breed’s greatest sires. It is a great honor to send my highest congratulations to Sr. Salim Mattar on owning “Such a Horse” and a great round of thanks to you for allowing OFW Magic Wan to beshared with the world.”

In the balance of the sea, Arabian stallions arise, from time to time, in bigwaves. The great leaders include Bask, El Shaklan, Aladdinn, Muscat,Khemosabi, Bey Shah, Padron, Ali Jamaal, Padron's Psyche, Maguma Psyche,Marwan el Shaqab, WH Justice, among others. I have the feeling that we arefacing a new wave of this great big sea: OFW Magic Wan. OFW Magic Wan,with his first progeny, signals he will be a new milestone for the Haras Sahara. All the best!” ~ Luciano Cury

“I had the privilege to judge OFW Magic Wan at the 2010 U.S. Nationalswhere he was crowned National Champion Futurity Colt. He is, without adoubt, a horse of extreme quality which, I am thrilled to see is being passed onto his foals. Truely a remarkable individual both genotypically and phenotypi-cally; the real deal.” ~ George Z

“OFW Magic Wan, already a highly successful show horse is emerging as asire of extremely high quality foals. This combination in a stallion is the exception rather than the rule. Breeders optimism for his capabilities is not misplaced when one considers the accomplishments of Marwan and Gazal, and Magic Wan's very notable tail female line.” ~ Doug Dahmen

“I chose to breed to OFW Magic Wan due to his incredible balance, Arabiantype and amazing pedigree. I chose to give him my best mare in my Championdaughter, SW Jasmine, and the resulting foal is perhaps the best foal I haveever bred. Of course I returned the same breeding decision again and immedi-ately booked another package of breeding rights. This is a horse the future of the Arabian breed needs.” ~ Charles Moseley
