NON-REGULAR CLASSES INVOLVING MULTIPLE DOG ENTRIES Stud Dog Brood Bitch

Stud Dog / Brood Bitch entries are to be entered as a unit consisting of the stud dog/brood bitch and at least two, but no more than four, get. All get must be intact and must also be entered in a regular conformation class.

Entry fee for the unit is $15.00

REMINDERS Award of Merit: There will be one (1) Award of Merit awarded during the judging of Best of Breed. Championship Points Awarded (Effective January 1, 2013): At the National Specialty, the dog designated Reserve Winners Dog and the bitch designated Reserve Winners Bitch will be awarded a three-point major, provided that the number of dogs competing in the regular classes of the Reserve Winners’ sex totals at least twice the number required for a five-point major, in the region in which the event is held. No major for Reserve Winners shall be given based upon an award of Best of Winners. In counting the number of eligible dogs in competition, a dog that is disqualified, or that is dismissed, excused or ordered from the ring by the judge, or from which all awards are withheld, shall not be included.

SWEEPSTAKES RULES • This sweepstakes is open to all Entlebucher Mountain Dogs who, on the day of the Show, will be no less than

6 months old and under 18 months of age. • No dog which has completed the requirements of an AKC Championship prior to the date of judging may

compete in this Sweepstakes, and any Sweepstakes entry fee submitted for such dog shall be refunded upon request of the dog’s owner or agent, if such request is received by the Show Secretary no later than the closing date of the Show. For the purpose of those rules, the date of record for the Championship shall be the date of the show at which the dog won its final points.

• All Sweepstakes entries MUST also be entered in a regular class. “Sweepstakes” must be indicated on the entry form under “Additional Classes”.

• Classes will be as follows: DIVIDED BY SEX • Puppies, 6 months and under 9 months & 9 months and under 12 months • Juniors, 12 months and under 18 months • BEST IN SWEEPSTAKES & BEST OF OPPOSITE SEX IN SWEEPSTAKES competition will be held for the

winners of the sweepstakes classes.

PRIZE MONEY • NEMDA will retain 25% of the total entry fees for expenses. The remaining 75% will be distributed amongst the

winners for each class as follows: 1st Place 2nd Place 3rd Place 4th Place 4 or more entries 40% 30% 20% 10% 3 entries 50% 35% 15% 2 entries 60% 40% 1 entry 100%

4-6 Month Beginner Puppy Competition

AKC registration # or an AKC litter # is required.

A foreign born dog may enter this class if they are registered in the country of origin.

All entrants are to be vaccinated (including rabies).

Professional handlers are not permitted to exhibit in this class.

This class will not be divided by sex.

Junior Showmanship Classes (Note: AKC Junior Handler Numbers are required for entry in Junior Showmanship competition.

Numbers may be obtained from the AKC – Phone 919-233-9767)

NOVICE CLASS: This class shall be for boys and girls, who at the time entries close, have not won three first places, with competition present, in a Novice class at a licensed or member show. OPEN CLASS: This class shall be for boys and girls who have won three first places, with competition present, in a Novice class at a licensed or member show. MASTER CLASS: This class shall be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show, and who have won the 10 first place wins in an Open class with competition to be eligible to enter the Limited Class Competition. The calendar for this class will be November 1 – October 31 of the following year. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed, all participants return to the Open Class to compete for the following year. The Novice and Open classes will be divided into Junior, Intermediate and Senior classes. The Junior class is for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 12 years old on the day of the show. The Intermediate class shall be for the boys and girls who are at least 12 years old and under 15 years on the day of the show. The Senior class shall be for boys and girls who are at least 15 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show. BEST JUNIOR HANDLER: The junior handler placed first in each of the regular Junior Showmanship Classes, if undefeated in any other Junior Showmanship Class at this show, shall automatically be eligible to compete for this prize.

SHOW REGULATIONS – Entire Show Weekend

• Show site will be available to exhibitors beginning at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013. Dogs must be removed from the show site immediately following Best In Show judging on Sunday, September 15, 2013.

• Dogs not required for further judging will be excused.

• Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring.

• There will be no refund for duplicate entries.

• No entry fee will be refunded if the show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbance, fire, an act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, strikes, or any other cause beyond the control of the Club.

• No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Entries will not be accepted without fees or signatures.

• Changes, additions, or corrections to entry forms must be received in writing (e-mail acceptable) only prior to the closing of entries.

• The show giving Club, their agents, employees, etc. assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by the exhibitors, handlers, or to any of their dogs or property and further assumes no responsibility for injury to children.

• Please clean up after your dogs on the show grounds and your motel site in order to retain the facilities for future events.

• All complaints regarding conduct prejudicial to the sport will be dealt with, in accordance with AKC rules, by the Show Committee. This includes dogs relieving themselves on the shrubbery outside the show buildings.

• Smoking will NOT be permitted inside buildings – state law. This will be enforced.

• NO VEHICLES ARE ALLOWED ON THE GRASS! Failure to comply will lead to action by the Show Committee. Damages caused by vehicles will be the responsibility of those persons bringing vehicles onto the show site grass areas!

• EXHIBITORS & AGENTS: Must be governed by any rules & regulations of the Davis County Parks Department and/or local

restrictions. Will be held responsible for damages and for keeping the premises clean around their crates and

set ups. Must keep dogs under control and restrained at all times. Are advised to bring adequate shade for the comfort of their dogs and themselves. Some shade

will be provided near outdoor rings. Crates MUST be removed immediately following that breed. This will be enforced by the Show Committee.

• NO CRATES within 25 feet of the show rings (outdoors). Crates may be placed again wall (indoors) during specific breed judging and MUST be removed immediately following that breed. Day parking exhibitors’ ex-pens will be allowed in designated area only. Ex-pens for overnight parking will be in parking only. NO GROOMING ALLOWED IN THE EXHIBIT BUILDING.

SHOW REGULATIONS – Entire Show Weekend (Cont.) • RESTROOMS will be available for the convenience of exhibitors/spectators. Any exhibitor found

bathing or grooming a dog in the public restrooms WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO EXHIBIT AND WILL BE SUBJECT TO ACTION BY THE SHOW COMMITTEE.

• NO OVERNIGHT PARKING allowed except in reserved parking areas.

• The NEMDA, Bonneville Basin Kennel Association & the Davis County Fair Park assumes NO LIABILITY for loss or damage to equipment, property and/or exhibitors and agents.

• No strollers will be allowed.

• No loose materials such as SAWDUST, CHIPS, SHREDDED PAPER, etc. will be allowed. Bring mats or other appropriate ground cover.

NOTICES TO EXHIBITORS

• GROOMING SPACE is being offered free to the exhibitors at the 2013 Back-to-Back All Breed and

Specialty Shows. Building #3, 10,000 sq feet, has been reserved for grooming only. This space is at no cost and is first come, first served. All crates must be stacked. Any excessive use of space will be corrected by the Show Chairman or the Assistant Show Chairman. Please be considerate to your fellow exhibitors. Grooming space is a privilege that can be withdrawn from those of you who do follow the rules, regulations and instructions of the Bonneville Basin Kennel Association.

• NO ex-pens will be allowed in Building #3

• Building #3 will be secured at 10:00 pm each evening for your protection and peace of mind. Building #3 will reopen at 6:00 am each morning for your convenience.

• BATHING STATIONS for exhibitor’s dogs are provided. A cement pad with 8 bathing spaces is located approximately 30 yards east of the Grooming Building across from the Equestrian Stall Barn. There will also be a raised dog bathing station provided by Davis County Fairgrounds.

• No exhibitors, setups or dogs are allowed in the Stall Barn. No parking along sides of Stall

Barn/Fire Lane necessary. Please show respect to your fellow exhibitors and others who use the Equestrian Fair Park.

• RING STEWARDING. The Bonneville Basin Kennel Association is offering non-member ring

stewards $30.00 for a full day & $15.00 for a half day of ring stewarding, including lunch. If interested, please contact Bevalyn Iverson at 801-224-4555 or [email protected].

• The Bonneville Basin Kennel Association does not agree to arbitrate claims as set forth on

the Official AKC entry form for these events.

I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem suffi-cient. INSTRUCTIONS1. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the par-ticular variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13in., over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), BullTerriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels(King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard).

2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Championsof Record and dogs which, according to their owners’ records, have completed the requirements for a championship, butwhose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limitedto a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.

3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog isdivided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are enteringyour dog, i.e, age division, color division, weight division.

4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If aregistered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for whichentries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certifi-cate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed tothe AKC. (For complete rules, refer to Chapter 11, Section 3.)

5. Dogs entering mixed breed classes (eligible only in standalone Agility, Obedience, and Rally trials) should mark Breedas "MIXED BREED." Variety, Breeder, Sire, Dam information shall remain blank for mixed breed entrants.
