ABOUT THE SOUQ

The Baraha Souq takes place in the beautiful Baraha Courtyard at the National Museum of Qatar (NMOQ) from November to April.

The Baraha Souq is a friendly market community that proudly showcases high-quality affordable products to museum visitors. The market supports small and medium sized local businesses whose offerings are unique and have an artisanal flavour. The souq also supports products that are eco-friendly or promote sustainability.

TIMINGS

Every 2nd weekend of the month

Friday 1:30pm – 9pm Saturday 9am – 9pm

CRITERIA

All applicants will be reviewed on the quality of product or service, uniqueness of their work, and the product or service mix on display.

Each applicant will need to supply high-quality photos of how you will set up your stand and display your products or service at the market prior to being approved as a vendor.

These photos will be reviewed to see if the display fits in with the aesthetic of the Baraha Souq. We can also provide advice and support to help you set up your stand.

The market supplies each vendor with a trestle table, table cloth, and shade for each accepted vendor.

*For beverages and food, the vendor must contact us directly for approval for any additional tables or set up.

OUR ECO-FRIENDLY GUIDELINES

No Plastic packaging allowed, food and beverage must use Souq-approved compostable straws and eco-approved packaging.

No plastic cutlery, plastic serving plates, plastic packaging, plastic water bottles.Do you need power? ☐ yes ☐ noWe will provide each vendor with 16 amps, equivalent to 4,000 watts/24 volts.Please list each electrical item that you will be using on the day (this must be filled in)
