HOW TO READ OUR CODES
The code tells you the range, the type of window or door, its height and width and whether it has a transom. For example, the window QA1822T is as below. (Bifold and louvre are coded separately.)

All windows and doors are designed to N2 design wind pressure and 150pa water rating.
FOUR KEY MEASUREMENTS
Brick Size Number of bricks for an opening based on the standard brick size 230mm x 110mm x 76mm
Stud Opening Opening size between timber studs in a building. Applies to vertical and horizontal openings.
Reveal Size Reveal is the timber surround fitted to the fin of a window or door used for installing it into the timber framing.
Window or Door Size The actual Trend aluminium window or door frame height and width.

Destruction from bushfires is not only caused by the initial fire front but also from embers and debris borne on the wind. The Trend® Xtreme® bushfire protection range combines quality Pyro-Protec seals, toughened safety glass and stainless steel barrier screens. It was the first system in Australia rated to Bushfire Attack Level 40 (BAL-40). The Trend Xtreme range offers options for your windows from BAL- Low to BAL-40 for prevention of internal ignition of houses and possible loss of life and property.
BAL-40 rating
Efficient acoustic management starts with the Trend SoundMizer® option for windows and doors. SoundMizer® combines Trend® Window and Door systems with various glazing options and acoustic seals to provide a high performance acoustic option designed to further minimise troublesome noise. Glazing options
to meet various Rw ratings
Thermashield® offers an array of energy efficient glazing options to retain warmth inside the house during winter and cool air in summer. Enjoy a comfortable temperature all year round and minimise your energy bills with Thermashield®.
Up to 24mm double gazing
The beauty of traditional looking windows and doors together with the strength, durability and easy care of modern aluminium. Ovolo bars divide the windows into separate glass panes for the ‘timber window’ look of yesteryear. Ovolo bars cannot be integrated with Xtreme or double glazing.
Ovolo bars
Decorative bars are installed on the face of the pane of glass and offer the traditional look at an economical price. Decorative bars can also be added to the Xtreme® range without affecting the window or doors bushfire rating but cannot be integrated with double glazing.
Decorative bars
Allow ventilation into your home without the worry of unwanted insect pests. Customised flyscreens can be made to fit the design of the windows and doors, providing a barrier against insect pests.
Fly screen
Prowler Proof® ForceField® screens provide an excellent safeguard against intruders and forced entry. The heavy duty aluminium frame and the marine grade stainless steel mesh are joined together in a mechanical and chemical bond. Virtually unbreakable, Forcefield® screens are welded together not rivetted and provide a stronger frame in a seamless and clean design.
Security screen
a. The following statement only applies to a consumer sale ofgoods or services as defined in the Australian Consumer Law:i. Our Goods come with guarantees that cannot be
excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You areentitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure andfor compensation for any other reasonably foreseeableloss or damage. You are also entitled to have the Goodsrepaired or replaced if the Goods fail to be of acceptablequality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
b. Trend guarantees the Goods supplied will be free againstdefects arising from faulty workmanship or materials for aperiod of seven (7) years (one (1) year for Goods consideredby Trend as moving parts) from date of delivery andguarantees that services will be rendered with due care andskill. The guarantees are subject to the following conditionsbeing complied with by the Customer:i. The Goods are installed (where Goods are not installed
by Trend) and maintained in accordance with themanufacturer’s recommendations (refer to Trend’sInstallation Guide and Care and Maintenance Guide,available at www.trendwindows.com.au or from Trend’sSales offices) and has not been subject to misuse, abuseor neglect;
ii. Timber Goods are sealed (within one (1) month ofdelivery) with two coats of paint, varnish or sealer toboth faces and edges including top and bottom. Exteriorquality finishes in light reflective colours (NOT darkcolours) must be applied to all Goods exposed to directsunlight or the elements;
iii. All solid construction timber doors are hung with three (3)100mm hinges;
iv. A warp in a door will not be considered a defect unlessit exceeds 4mm for doors up to 2100mm high, 5mm fordoor heights between 2100mm and 2400mm and 6mmfor door heights above 2400mm and 2700mm;
v. Aluminium product surfaces that have been treated witha powder coat finish provide a much higher resistanceto scratching or scuffing and protect against normalweather conditions. However Trend does not warrantagainst fading or colour change due to normal weatherconditions that will cause any coloured surface to fadeor darken gradually.
c. Notwithstanding clause (a), the liability of Trend in respectof a breach of a consumer guarantee or any warranty madeunder these Terms and Conditions for any Goods not of a kindordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household useis limited, to the extent permitted by law and at the option ofTrend to:i. in the case of supply of Goods;
A. replacing the Goods or the supply of equivalent Goods;B. the repair of the Goods;C. the payment of the cost of replacing the Goods or of
acquiring equivalent Goods; or D. the payment of the cost of having the Goods repaired.
ii. in the case of supply of Services;A. the supplying of the Services again; orB. the payment of the cost of having the Services
supplied again. d. To the extent permitted by law, all other warranties whether
implied or otherwise, not set out in these Terms andConditions are excluded and Trend is not liable in contract,tort (including, without limitation, negligence or breach ofstatutory duty) or otherwise to compensate the Customer for:i. any increased costs or expenses;ii. any loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts or
anticipated savings;iii. any loss or expense resulting from a claim by a third party;
oriv. any special, indirect or consequential loss or damage of any
nature whatsoever caused by Trend’s failure to complete ordelay in completing the order to deliver the Goods.
e. To claim the warranty provided under this clause, theCustomer must, within 7 days of identifying the defect in theGoods, provide written notice of the defect to the supplierfrom whom the Goods were purchased or to the nearestTrend location listed on the Trend website.
f. Where Trend determines that the Customer is entitled to thewarranty under this clause and the Goods have not beenaffixed to property to the extent that Trend cannot easilyremove the Goods from the property, Trend agrees to bearthe cost of claiming the warranty.
g. The benefits provided to the Customer by the warranty arein addition to other rights and remedies available to theCustomer under the law.
