Community DemographicsChicago and surrounding Cook County
• ATH TSA – 578,551 population (83% AA)
• IMMC PSA – 1,198,692 population (33% Hispanic)• 29.9 % in some areas vs county rate of 13.8%
• 22.5% unemployment in AA, 11.9% in Hispanic compared to 7.5% Whites
• 15.3% in hospital’s PSA had no high school diploma
• Substantially lower education rate than neighboring counties 83% compared to 94%

Example Implementation Plan/StrategiesGoal: To work collaboratively with community organizations to recruit and train entry and mid-level skill jobs for health care positions
• Partner with local communities to train workers

▪ Provide a CAREER PATHWAY to individuals seeking advanced training/or career opportunities with the healthcare sector
▪ Support the ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT through workforce and health education within the communities that we serve
