Performance & Clinic-Based
Paid Summer Program The Disneyland® Resort All-American College Band,
presented by Yamaha and under the direction of Dr. Ronald
McCurdy from the University of Southern California, is a
once-in-a-lifetime music, performance and educational
opportunity. Jazz forms the foundation, but all traditional
music styles are used by the band to enhance Park
performances, clinics and stage showcases with special
guest headliners. As a member of this 21-piece, high-
energy, marching/show band, you will perform five days a
week at the Disneyland® Resort for thousands of Disney
Guests AND polish your musical skills in focused rehearsals
and music clinics from experts such as: Wayne Bergeron,
Gregg Field, John Clayton, Jiggs Whigham, Rick Baptist; just
to name a few. You will also complete a major project that
will reflect one of these tracks:
Composition and Arranging
Careers in Music Business
Recording and Production
Each performance day will consist of five sets:
One stage performance in a jazz format
Four in a marching/show band format
Band members perform on Yamaha instruments. Yamaha
will provide pro-line instruments, including doubles as
needed, for all members of the band for the summer. You
will have the opportunity to purchase this instrument at a
discounted rate at the end of the program.
