Natural Selection – means that individuals that are the best adapted to their environment have the greatest chance of surviving and successfully reproducing.

Sources of Genetic Variation a. STABILIZING

SELECTION- Individual’s with extreme phenotypes which tall and short plants are eliminated.

b. DIRECTIONAL SELECTION- Individual’s with one extreme phenotypes in this case the short plants are eliminated.

c. DIVERSIFYING SELECTION- Individual’s with intermediate phenotypes which plants of medium heights are eliminated.
