At Otium we choose for the rotational moulding

manufacturing technique, this technique allows us to

work with a very durable polyethylene plastic with

many advantages. The Polyethylene products are quite

light and therefore easy to manipulate but sufficiently

strong, even for prolonged outdoor use. Moreover, it is

not sensitive to frost or extreme heat and can be 100%

recycled. Otium chooses to use quality raw materials to

guarantee the color fastness.

Otium is launching a new range of flowerpots

and furniture made of exclusive and

sustainable materials. We are making new

products with 100% recycled cork, we only

use rejected wine stop cork and the remnant

of natural cork originating from wine stop

cork production.

Due to the combination of polyethylene and

rotational moulding, we can offer a variety of

colors. Besides the many colors of the products

we often provide different finishing options so

the customer can compose something that

perfectly fits his or her environment.

Besides recycled cork, special developed

compounds are used to create a natural stone

look. Some of the Exclusive line products are made

in moulds that create fine lines in our products to

give them a warmer high-end look and feel.

ECO FRIENDLY AND EXCLUSIVE MATERIAL

Natural cork is a lightweigth elastic material and

is harvested from the bark of the cork oak tree.

Out of this bark, natural wine cork stoppers are

made.

They are coarsly shredded The second raw material stream to produce

the cork-based Otium flower pots are rejected

synthetic cork stoppers from production.

These fine synthetic cork particles are further

processed into pellets. Recycled synthetic cork

pellets made by extrusion.

Finally, these pellets are grinded into fine powder

and is Otium’s second raw material source.

Otium’s cork based flower pots are made fully from cork, natural based and recycled cork stoppers

The PENDULUM railing planter is an aesthetic solution for a spatial problem: how can we bring nature close to the limited space of a balcony. We also wanted a solution for creating ex-tra privacy on the terrace.

The PENDULUM railing planter answers to these requirements. Rotational-moulded durable, recyclable and impact resistant polyethylene, we realised an atypical and switchable asym-metrical shape in a generous size for creating a plant land-scape. By combining the two dimensions, the flower pots can be placed in a variety of arrangements in order to give the bal-

cony a contemporary and personal finishing. The PENDULUM planters can also be placed on the ground.

We came up with an additional volume as seasoning container for an urban garden environment.

Potted plants need to be showcased in flowerpots equipped with a good drainage system in the event of over watering, whether from natural rainfall or over watering by an eager gardener.

Unless excess water can filter through the soil and drain away from the roots of your potted plants, the roots may develop root rot if they are exposed to standing water for an extended period of time. Root rot will eventuall y cause your potted plant to whither and die since it will rob the plant of the ability to draw moisture and nutrients from the soil.

Double wall pots are protected for heavy sun burn of the outside layer and prevent the roots from burning.

The Lignum and Citta flowerpots are stackable to ensure easy transportation.

EXTRA WEIGHTSYSTEM

FOR OLLA 135, AMPHORA 75, MURUS & LINEAFOR LIGNUM & CITTA

Otium Olla135, Amphora 75, Murus (27&90) and Linea (40&100) are provided with an extra weight system. The system is simply a closable opening. Through the free space between the two walls there is enough space to pour grind or gravel in the pot.

If enough weight is inserted, the pot will have extra stability and will not fall over in strong winds.
