Dear Chamber Member:

There has never been a more challenging time to be in business so there is no better time to take advan-tage of all the services offered by the Chamber. To help you get the most out of your membership with theChamber, we have put together this Membership Guide to give you an overview of all the different wayswe can help your business Connect, Save and Grow.

Membership in the Chamber is an investment in the future of your business and our local economy. TheChamber offers a wide range of programs to help your business grow and provides many opportunities tomarket your business throughout the region. Your membership in the Chamber will entitle you and youremployees’ access to a wide range of programs, events, information and discounts. Here are just a fewways you and your employees can benefit from membership:

• The best networking program in the region. The Chamber is famous for its business card and networking mixer program. Each month, we host at least two networking events. This is a proven way to meet potential customers and expand our business.

• Insurance. One of the most difficult issues in operating a business in today’s challenging economic climate is health insurance. The Chamber provides assistance to its membercompanies through a cost effective group insurance program known as the Benefits Connection. We also offer a new and innovative Workers’ Compensation program that can save you money

• Business Education. How can you keep up with the changing market trends, new regulations and business technology? The Chamber offers a series of dynamic and informative programs about topics that are critical to the successful operation of your business. All of our programs are discounted for Chamber members and held right at the Chamber’s headquarters.

• Credibility. A nationally recognized research company, the Shapiro Group, has determined that consumers have a significantly more favorable opinion of a business if they know the business is a member of the local chamber of commerce. The study also indicated that a consumer is 63% more likely to patronize a business if they know it is a member of the local chamber of commerce.

• Marketing Opportunities. The Chamber provides unique opportunities to member companies to advertise their products and services. Our website and monthly newsletter, Business Matters, are cost effective ways to promote your products and services and reach thousands of potential customers. Our mobile app, DelBiz2Go, will allow you to reach a well defined group of customers.

• Legislative Issues. To make sure that the voice of the business community is heard in the General Assembly, at County Council and in Washington, the Chamber is an active participant in the legislative process. We take care of politics so you can take care of business. We work to promote free enterprise, expand our local economy, reduce government regulation and hold the line on taxes. The Chamber hosts a number of policy maker events to maintain a strong line of communications with our elected officials.

Make sure to check out our Summer Calendar on page 6 and make plans to join us for some SummertimeFun that will help your business to Connect, Save and Grow and remember, Membership Matters.
