A SYLLABUS ON ROLE PLAY AS STRATEGY IN HEALTH EDUCATION
Placement: Strategies in Health Education, Level II
Time Allotted: 1 hour
Topic Description: This topic deals on how role play can be used as an effective strategy in health education in the context of the nurses role as a health educator. It
focuses on the different purposes, techniques, advantages, disadvantages and steps of role playing.
Central Objective: At the end of the one hour of varied teaching-learning strategies, the students shall gain knowledge, demonstrate beginning skills, and manifest
positive attitude and values toward health education for the promotion and maintenance of health of individuals, families and communities.
