3 I have always been a promoter of "small business" concepts in my teaching; however, due to the changes in Federal Perkins granting funding, it hasbecome imperative that there is a "career/entrepreneurship" tie-in to maintain funding and a presence in schools. I love it! It is real-world and life skills. Notthat every students will become an entrepreneur, but just having the knowledge of how business works makes for a better consumer.

1 Invite minority business owners from all over Nebraska to present their successes. 12/9/2016 10:23 AM

2 One of the action steps mentioned inviting DECA students. That is a fantastic idea, but extend it to FCCLA, FFA, SkillsUSA and FBLA student groups. Each of these national student organizations have entrepreneurship components in their competition activities. I would love to see more students there tointeract with the adults. Not only does that broaden a students' understanding of the possibilities, it also gives them an opportunity to hone their "softskills/21st Century/college- & career-Readiness/employability skills" with actual business people.

12/8/2016 5:52 PM

3 More recognition & involvement of those businesses committed to the startup community. 12/5/2016 10:26 AM

4 Minority entrepreneurship in Nebraska and more representation from current business owners. 11/21/2016 7:33 PM

5 More ideas to support entrepreneurs. More ideas to give entrepreneurs that are looking for start-up ideas. 11/21/2016 9:27 AM

6 Longer with more time to meet people and network. 11/18/2016 9:38 PM

7 See more minority entrepreneurs 11/18/2016 3:32 PM

12 I like the grass roots emphasis and making/doing vs. talking and talking and starting small 11/18/2016 12:31 PM

13 More information on helping minority businesses start and thrive. What are minority students at UNL doing with entrepreneurship? The Big Idea panel wasawesome and inspiring ... but not very diverse. More women! More people of color!

14 I was not able to connect my iPad to the wireless so was unable to use the online app. 11/18/2016 11:53 AM

15 If you could recreate the atmosphere and the amazing speakers like you had for this year, I would definitely come again. Also hearing stories of youngentrepreneurs was wonderful and should be kept in the schedule. Using SCHED was also really useful and easy to do.

11/18/2016 11:30 AM

16 Move the Big Ideas to the morning so more people attend. 11/18/2016 11:29 AM

17 Perhaps a more focused topic relating to entrepreneurship. The main presenters could have been more focused in their speeches instead of jumping fromtopic to topic. There needs to be a better way to engage in action-step conversations than an end-of-the-day group conversation.

1 More minority related/ boost these entrepreneurs speakers and information. 12/9/2016 10:23 AM

2 Loved the variety that was available this year. I deal in food and fashion, so I was super-excited for the speakers/sessions. If more students were toattend, I would definitely break up the morning keynote speaker. 1 hour is a really long time (even for adults) to sit and listen. Also, if students were tobecome a larger segment of the audience, having sessions with business people or extension on topics such as "creating a pitch" or "creating a personalpitch", how to network/introducing yourself/shaking hands, etc.

12/8/2016 5:52 PM

8 Available funds and grants for proposals to promote entrepreneurs How does nebraska overlay the marvelous kansas system on ne econ dev, regionalecon dev, local economic, iniversities, and other state funded agencies attempting and failing to do this work? Is the descriptive phrase Balkanized thework so that few succeed?

11/18/2016 12:31 PM

9 How to involve the immigrant population in your town's efforts to revitalize business and the town overall. How communities as a whole can give under-served populations the resources they need to be successful entrepreneurs. The family that has restaurants in Iowa and Nebraska might be an option fora breakout session. They own La Juanita in Sioux City, IA, Lemars, IA, South Sioux City, NE, Storm Lake, IA and I'm not sure where else (Mexican food).Different family members run each one. Very popular. Maybe a similar story out there as well ... strong Latino family business that has expanded.

11/18/2016 12:04 PM

10 Good to bring in success stories to inspire us and leaders in Nebraska. Would be nice to get more legislators and community leaders there. 11/18/2016 12:02 PM

11 More entrepreneurs speaking about the most value and support that educators and economic developers can provide to them and their colleagues. 11/18/2016 11:29 AM

12 I would like to see more youth at the conference/or more young entrepreneurs...and just more people in general. 11/18/2016 11:23 AM

6 Dell Gines was awesome! Informative and great speaker. Really enjoyed that; strong start to the summit. I think the challenge for "The Challenge" was somany people left before and so less interaction. But I liked the opportunity to speak to a few more people and eat a little something before hitting the road!
