BACkUp DRIvESI strongly recommend

that you have two (or atleast one) backup strate-gies to protect your in-formation in the eventualfailure of the internal harddrive of your computer.You can’t backup the in-ternal drive; that providesno protection. You mustuse external hard drives.And they also are possibletargets of thieves.

The minimum backupplan is to useApple’sTimeMachine software to reg-ularly write the informa-tion that changed in yourcomputer to an EHD. Thesoftwarecreates a timelinehistory of your computeron the EHD. You can goback months to recover adata file of that date.
