Perusal of compliance reported above with respect to Jrrocluctiondata/figure by the PA reveals that the production in respcct ofDiclofenac sodium has exceeded from its allotted limit of 40 MTM (asper 2002 EC) to 60 MTM which is wellwithin the procluction capacitystipulated as perEC grantedin2007, although the total production ofBulk drugs and Intermediates were restricted to 7g:02 MTM asagainst 116.12 MTM. In view of the information furnishecl bv thePAs, the condition is considered comnlied.

. At storage tanks, following measures are taken to minimizethe vapour loss.

1. All the tanks are closed type with close fype lever indicator.2. Transferring of the solvent is performed with fix metallic' flexible pipe (Unloading of tanker) & pumps having

mechanicals seal.3. Transfer to the day tank also performed through fix piping

& pump having mechanical seal.4. The day tank over flow is connected back to the storage tank

, hence vapours from day tank will not be expoied tooutside atrnosphere & balancing will takes place.

5. No manual or open handling of solvents & chemicals arepermitted.

6. The storage tanks vents are provicled with Chilledcondenser. The outlet of the condenser is connectecl back tothe umbrella trap. with umbrella trap & Conde.ser.vaporrlosses are almost negligible.

7. The storage tanks are provided with Nirrogen blanketing,this will minimizes the vapour loss from the tank.

8. Negative pressure in the storage tanks is not prefer.red(Particglarly for the solvent), as negative pressurecontinuously suck vapour from the storage tank, & transferto the vacuum system.

9. Breather valves are also provided on storage tanks.L0. The storage tanks are tested by third rtv at resular

The residual HCL gas is passed through second Packed Tower(Secondary). In the second packed toweY Sodium hydroxide alkalinesolution is circulated in counter current direction. The resiclual gasesof HCI sre scrubbed in Secondary Packed Tower & get netttralized.The cleaned neutral air is vented through Blower stack.The secdndary packed tower ffiuent water is sent to EtP Jbrtreatment.

Scrubber system & other controlling equipment are rnaintainerlregularly to avoid any breakdown.In case of any breakdown of pollution control equipment,immediately actions are taken to stopfurther operations untilpollution control equipments are put into order.
