U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Dr. Grace Murray Hopper Most incisive strategic futurists in the world of computing in the

middle of 20th century In 1943, Worked on the first modern computer, the Mark I, at

Harvard with Howard Aiken 1952, completed the first computer “compiler”, which morphed

into the “A-2”, the first widely-used programming language, for Sperry-Rand (UNIVAC).

1956, had programmed the UNIVAC I & II to understand 20 English statements in FLOW-MATIC

FLOW-MATIC became the base for creating COBOL “COmmon Business Oriented Language” by the U.S. DoD

Programmers can now create SYSTEMS! Systems can now be programmed to talk to each other and data

can be exchanged! (ie. Honeywell Data Networks)

“I poked my four fingers into the sand and for whatever reason — I didn’t know — I pulled my hand toward me and drew four lines. I said: Golly! Now I have four lines, and they could be wide lines and narrow lines instead of dots and dashes.” J. Woodland, 1999

the first scan and the first sale!?!? 2) Why is Juicy Fruit spelled backwards?

The first catalog was published in Venice in 1498, even before the Gregorian Calendar was issued. It was a hand-lettered and hand-bound pamphlet of sorts. The inside included a list of books available for purchase. The pamphlets were created for distribution at the town fair.

Important Factors for Omni-Channel

Successful Omni-Channel management depends on many factors: Data Integrity, Compliance, Synchronization, Logistics

Ideal scenarios

Confidential | ©2015 InterTrade Systems Inc.

Wouldn’t it be great if you could…. Update your internal system with your product

details; Add images, data sheets, and other rich

content; Automatically update all of your Customers

with new or changed products and product data? Regardless of selling to a storefront, online, through 3PL/Warehouse, etc.?

“It’s much easier to take data and push it into a data warehouse than it is to take data and push it into operational systems. This harmonization and consolidation stage has to do with getting sight of what you’ve actually got and moving it into a better position from a data perspective.” Cliff Longman
