Wednesday Mornings 9:30am - 11:30am February 4 - April 22 Friend 2 Friend (F2F), Calvary’s morning small group ministry for women, offers two 12-week sessions each year. Whether you’ve had little or much Bible study experience, F2F offers something for everyone willing to grow. Our desire is to provide studies which meet a range of needs, as well as an environment which encourages meaningful relationships for years to come. F2F Worship On Wednesday mornings before we break into our small groups, we have a time of worship in the Chapel. This year our worship theme concerns God’s Word—His love letter to us. Through the study of God’s Word He reveals His great love for us. Blessing Day You will be given the opportunity to sign up to serve one time as “helping hands” in our children’s area to supplement our paid child- care workers. This is an important way to bless our young mothers so that we can keep our childcare costs as low as possible. F2F Childcare Little Friends (LF) is the morning program for children from birth through kindergarten. Children two and under will stay in our nurs- ery where our caregivers provide excellent care. Preschoolers and kindergarteners enjoy Bible stories, songs, crafts and playtime. Learning with Friends (LWF) is a program for home-schooled stu- dents of mothers attending F2F Wednesday mornings. Students in grades K-5 will attend Bible study and one elective. The kindergarten option is open to home-schooled kindergarteners only. Classes may change based on enrollment. Spring Break students are also invited to attend a program planned specifically for them. Tuesday Evenings 6:30pm - 8:15pm February 3 - April 21 Tuesday Ladies at Calvary (TLC) is an evening each week for ladies to focus on faith and friend- ship. With so many choices, choosing a book can be difficult. We want to help you make the best decision possible. Along with the book descriptions, here are some guidelines to help you make a good choice: Pray: First and foremost, pray about which study God wants you to take. Often the books we shy away from are the very ones He is calling us to pursue. Be open to His leading and you will be blessed beyond measure! Evaluate Your Time: Once your heart is open to where God is leading, the next step is to evaluate your time. Our studies range in time commitment from 30 minutes per week to 30-45 minutes per day. You know your schedule and what you can handle. Decide how much time you can devote and look for those studies which match your schedule. Evaluate Your Experience: Another area to consider is your Bible study experience. If you are familiar with the Bible and have much Bible study experience, your choices are wide open. If you are new to the Bible, you might want to take a study where less experience is required. However, it’s also good to take a study which will challenge you to grow deeper in your walk with God. Once you decide on your level of experience—combine that with your time commitment and the studies that are available, then ask God for confirmation. Class Registration Fees There is a $5.00 registration fee which will be used to provide books for our facilitators, purchase new DVD series, provide scholarships for women and children who would otherwise not be able to attend and help cover the short-fall in childcare costs. Nehemiah: A Heart That Can BreakKelly MinterBased on the Old Testament story of Nehemiah, Kelly Minter describes the compassion that Nehemiah had for the suffering of his people, the Jews. The brokenness he felt inspired him to leave his life of comfort and lead his people to begin to rebuild their city and nation. The story of Nehemiah is often read for its wisdom regarding leadership, but in a different take, the author encourages you to open your heart to the pain of a hurting, lost world, see the mission God has for you in your sphere of influence and move in compassion to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Through daily readings Minter offers thought-provoking insights and questions to consider in order to grow your heart for others. Class time includes watching supplemental 20-minute video.

Soul Keeping: Caring for the Most Important Part of YouJohn OrtbergThe health of your soul isn’t just a matter of saved or unsaved. In today’s western culture, many souls are starved and unhealthy, unsatisfied by false promises. We’ve neglected this eternal part of ourselves—and not without consequence. In Soul Keeping John Ortberg explains what the soul is, and examines our lack of knowledge concerning this most fundamental part of the human person. He then explores what the soul needs--a keeper, a center, a future, fellowship with God, rest, freedom, blessing, sanctification, and gratitude.   He’ll discuss times of desolation, and adversely he’ll also examine consolation and the peace that comes when a soul is at rest. Ortberg’s signature easygoing style and story-filled approach provide needed clarity for one of Christianity’s most mysterious and neglected topics.

No More Perfect Kids: Love Your Kids for Who They AreJill Savage and Kathy KochIs it safe for your kids to make a mistake in your house? Let’s face it–our kids are often not all we envisioned them to be while in the womb. In our efforts to fulfill that vision, we become guilty of perfectionistic parenting. Keep in mind that they’re created in God’s image, not your own! One of the best gifts parents can give their children is the freedom to become what God envisioned for them. Writing in a safe, non-judgmental tone with tons of practical ideas, Jill Savage and Kathy Koch provide inspiration and tactics for dealing with tough parenting issues which include: dismantling that perfectionism in ourselves, digital technology, uniqueness, disobedience, accepting weaknesses, finding purpose, and helping children with special needs.
