Nemo Cloud
T E C H N I C A L O V E R V I E W
IntroductionNemo Cloud provides a unique, end-to-end online service that connects various Nemo
products into one powerful, industry-leading solution enabling the remote access and
control of Keysight’s measurement and analytics solutions as well as efficient data
sharing between users.
Nemo Cloud online access and single sign-on provide real-time control and monitoring
of measurement product fleets as well as improved responsiveness and visibility of
measurement projects in the field. The centralized product and fleet control together
with online inventory management give customers the tools to get more out of their
measurement resources and product portfolio. Nemo Cloud services improve product
lifecycle efficiency – directly accelerating the ROI for measurement solution investments.
Nemo Cloud provides a one-stop-shop platform for centrally controlled network testing
from measurement session creation to final measurement reports with Nemo post-
processing tools. It allows network operators to remotely operate Nemo Outdoor, Nemo
Invex II, Nemo Handy, Nemo Autonomous Probe, and Nemo Walker Air test units and
check their status. The location and status of field units, including the driver’s contact
details, are tracked in Nemo Cloud. Configuration settings can be shared to and
between all measurement units within the same project quickly and easily. Nemo Cloud
supports all devices and test protocols currently supported with Nemo tools.

A single user is able to remotely monitor and manage numerous Nemo measurement kits
in the field, thus eliminating the need for two technicians in a test vehicle. Measurement
sessions are created and scheduled in Nemo Cloud’s Projects page and they can be
assigned for individual measurement units or to groups of units. For locally controlled
Nemo tools, Nemo Cloud provides file and configuration sharing between measurement
kits. This reduces preliminary work before the actual measurement project in the field
and eliminates human errors in local measurement kit configuration. Field unit hardware
configurations and test device details can be verified remotely to avoid failed drive tests
caused by malfunctioning hardware. In addition, hardware failures, incorrect scripts and
other issues can be spotted and corrective measures taken immediately instead of, for
example, at the end of a one-week test campaign. By reacting without delay, both time
and money can be saved.
Nemo Cloud supports Nemo Outdoor, Nemo Invex II, Nemo Handy, Nemo Autonomous
Probe, Nemo Walker Air, Nemo WindCatcher, and Nemo Analyze. The Nemo Cloud
service can be acquired either as a SaaS or an on-premises service. The SaaS version
is provided as an all-inclusive hosting service with full system administrator support.
The on-premises service is installed in a user-operated server hardware with full system
administrator support from Keysight. The scalability of the Nemo Cloud service varies from
a few measurement units to massive environments – one Nemo Cloud service installation
is limited only by the number of Nemo measurement units. This limit is set at delivery and
the system monitors the number of devices simultaneously connected to Nemo Cloud.

Deployment Options
Nemo Cloud offers two deployment options:
1. SaaS deployment: full Nemo Cloud service, including hosting at a data center
2. On-premises deployment: delivered in dedicated server hardware, pre-installed by Keysight
The customer can have a dedicated Nemo Cloud service installation or multiple
installations. With multiple installations an individual Nemo tool can connect to only one
Nemo Cloud installation at a time.

• Turn-by-turn navigation – Route plan is created remotely in Nemo Cloud and passed over the air to a navigation application which guides the driver through the route while Nemo units perform measurements.

Nemo CloudNemo Cloud is designed for the centralized remote management and control of Nemo
field measurement units. The location, status, and measurement results of all deployed
units can be displayed and monitored simultaneously on the screen with Nemo Cloud in
real time.
Monitoring
Nemo Cloud’s Monitoring page enables control of measurements in more detail by
allowing you to monitor units, measurement values and statistics, alert, error and
measurement notifications and measurement results from Nemo field measurement units
and projects in real time. You can easily filter which projects to view – only your own
projects, only active projects, or all projects. The dynamic and highly visualized graphical
user interface enables you to centrally view over 600 key performance indicators (KPIs)
with Nemo Outdoor units, and 200 KPIs with Nemo Handy units, per device, all in real
time. The system can be reconfigured immediately when needed, thus minimizing the
risk of erroneous measurements and enabling you to focus on real-time processing
instead of post-processing.

offers a centralized view of any key points of interest, allowing you to quickly focus on possible
problem areas.
Viewing alerts, errors and measurement notifications is centralized in Nemo Cloud. With
one click you can see all of the measurement notifications and alerts and errors raised,
enabling you to quickly and efficiently drill down to the source of possible problems.
Since you can react to errors sent by your measurement devices without the delay, your
measurement projects become more cost-effective.

Measurement KPIs can be plotted on a map in the monitoring view and the
measurement route is colored based on the parameter values. It is also possible to
show site collections and base stations belonging to the site collections on a map in the
monitoring view. The base stations can be filtered based on technology, e.g. you can
select only 5G base stations to be shown.
Nemo Cloud also enables viewing scanner KPI measurement results. The Full Scan
mode displays KPIs for measured channels and cells, while Top-1 mode shows only
the best PCI for a specific KPI value per channel. You can also filter results based on
channels and cells.

Nemo Cloud enables you to assign various tasks for individual measurement units or
larger measurement fleets within projects. There are four types of projects available:
work order projects, automatic projects, manual projects, and site acceptance projects
(optional).
• In a work order project you create the project and configure work orders in Nemo Cloud. The end-user of the measurement device can select which work order to perform at a chosen time.
• In an automatic project you create the project and configure sessions in Nemo Cloud and the measurement session is started automatically at the scheduled time.
• In a manual project the project is created similarly to automatic projects. The only difference is that with manual projects you do not need to configure the project start and end date or time or schedule measurement sessions.
• In a site acceptance project you create the project and configure test templates and Nemo Cloud generates individual tests automatically. The end-user of the measurement device can select which test to perform at a chosen time.
On the Projects page you are able to easily assign measurement units and measurement
files to configured measurement sessions/work orders/tests.

Analytics
The Analytics view provides access to e.g. all analytics reports, that are created
by Nemo post-processing tool connected to Nemo Cloud. To be able to use this
feature, you must have a Nemo post-processing tool is logged in to Nemo Cloud.
In addition, the Analytics view provides access to reporting dashboards. A Nemo
Cloud admin can easily add new dashboards from the Admin – Settings view.
Analytics view is optional in Nemo Cloud deployments, but it can be added to any
Nemo Cloud account need basis.

Resources
Nemo Cloud’s Resources page consists of two views: Units and Files. In the Units
view you are able to quickly and centrally view measurement units logged into Nemo
Cloud and see information about these units, e.g. each unit´s Nemo product software
version number and all active units connected to Nemo Cloud displayed on a map. A
Nemo Cloud administrator can also manage the product software version number of
a Nemo product. The Files view displays the files found in Nemo Cloud (scripts and
measurement report files) automatically organized into folders according to their type.
You are able to easily remove, download, or upload files in the Files view.

The Units view displays a list of units with a floating license. You can filter units based
on unit name/IMEI, unit type, license, license expiration date (i.e. when the user´s right
to use the license expires), unit pool name, and Nemo Cloud user name.
The Licenses view displays the available license types, comparable units, number of
licenses for each license type, and license usage. In this view, you are also able to
rename licenses and to view what options each license includes by clicking on the
license name.

Administration
In Nemo Cloud´s Admin page you can manage users and licenses. Note that this page
can be accessed only with administration rights.
The User Management view displays the list of user accounts and their respective
information. In this page you can also manage user accounts, i.e. activate, deactivate,
and create new user accounts. Administrative Nemo Cloud users can also create and
manage user groups.
The License Manager view displays a list of pools with optional expiration dates (i.e.
when the user´s right to use the license expires). You can see the number of licenses per
pool, and the number of permissible devices per pool. You can also create new pools
and rename and remove existing pools.

Scripts
On the Nemo Cloud’s script editor page you are able to view and edit existing scripts,
and create new scripts for Nemo Handy and Nemo Outdoor measurement units. Adding
script commands is simple and the order of script commands is easily altered after
adding commands.
Alerts
On the Nemo Cloud’s alert editor page you are able to create alerts and sets of alerts
for your projects. Alert rules can be defined to suit the purpose of the project, and both
creating alert sets and adding them to projects is easy. You can also select an alert set
among the already created sets.

Scanner Configurations
On the Nemo Cloud’s scanner editor page you are able to create scanner
configurations.
Route & Area Plans
On the Nemo Cloud’s route & area planner page you are able to create route plans and
area plans. Area plans, currently available with automatic projects, enable performing
measurement only when a measurement device is within or, alternatively, outside of
a defined area. Route plans are useful when you want to follow a certain route while
performing a measurement. The route is added to a work order in Nemo Cloud and the
work order is passed over the air to Nemo Navigation Assistant and the assigned Nemo
measurement units.

Nemo Cloud
Customer need– Customer A wants to ensure the quality
of the network measurement and reducethe OPEX costs by having an easy-to-use
measurement system in which only a driver is needed in the measurement
vehicle.
Solution– In Nemo Cloud’s work order project the full configuration of the measurement project, including final report definition, can be done remotely. Only measurement start and completion must be done locally by a local Nemo tool user.
Benefit– An easy way to plan and manage the work load of the measurement units, while simultaneously ensuring the quality of measurement and enabling full remote control of the measurement unit.

Customer need– With new radio access technology launches, operators and network equipment manufacturers have a constant need to test and validate sites and ensure that the acceptance criteria are met, and that the rollout happens in a timely manner.
Solution– Fully automated site acceptance and verification testing through customized integration between Nemo Cloud and Nemo Handy, our handheld, Android-based network measurement product.
Benefit– Reduces OPEX significantly through automation, real-time visibility and instant pass/fail feedback. This leads to a substantially higher number of sites that can be tested per day and ensures timely rollouts.

Customer need– Customer A wants to speed up the configuration work in drive testing and to ensure the quality of measurement by deploying optimized measurement tool configurations in each unit within a group of units. In addition, the units need to be remotely monitored.
Solution– Nemo Cloud provides a service for sharing files between Nemo tools within the same measurement project. The units report measurement data to Nemo Cloud in real time.
Benefit– There is no need to do drive test configuration work in every measurement unit separately even though drive test is done manually. – Every measurement unit uses the exact same configuration in the drive test project, which ensures the quality of measurement across the fleet.Nemo Cloud
