• Revision of Ethical Giudelines-2017 for practicing Medical Doctors

• Revision of Accreditation Standards of MBBS-2017 program

• Revision of Regulations of Post Graduate Med Education: MD/MS

• Revision of Regulations of Post Graduate SS Med Education: DM/MCh

• Revision of Accreditation Standards of BDS program

• Formulations of Regulations of Post Graduate Med Education: MDS

• Revision of Act of NMC (Submitted to MOH)

• Online submission of exam form (licensing/ specialty exam)

• IT friendly organization (under process)

• Renovation and restructuring of NMC Building

• Equal distribution of Medical colleges throughout the country

• Creation of Opportunity to enroll local people in these colleges

• Availability of local medical manpower in local health centers

• Quality health services Reduction of population going abroad economy

• Reduction of no of students going abroad country economy

Key Challenges in Federal Context

• Separate Province may Develop separate Rule/Regulations

• Contradict National Rule/Regulations

• Problem on Implementation of National agenda in the Province

• Geographical location of Provinces: Province-2, Province-6( Disease pattern, Nutrition)

• Established colleges: Not possible to relocate

• Difference in disease burden : different priority

• Duplication of work: Cost increment

Way Forward

• Urgent revision of Act of NMC (composition, regulations)

• Develop infrastructures of NMC: Building, skill lab, exam hall, training uni)

• Develop human resources: Province unit, full timer chairman, committee coordinators

• Update records of practicing doctors, faculties( website)

• Establish common: faculty positions, criteria and promotion; curriculum, entry criteria and entrance exam,

• Establish admission as per merit list

• Start of Fellowship program in different well established hospitals

• Allocation of seats in Medical colleges to be controlled by central council

• Registration of teaching hospitals by MOH to be concluded
