Nesma’s 2019 finance forum,“Effective Corporate Compliance,” took place at Hyatt Park in Jeddah.
Master of ceremony and accountant, Bayan Mahfouz, welcomed the forum attendees and presented short videos featuring Nesma’s latest business updates followed by a speech by Akkas Miah, Group CFO, Nesma Holding.
Additionally, presentations on "Cash Management & Trade Solutions," "The CFO of the Future" and "Business Intelligence" were presented by Gulf International Bank, KPMG International and Nesma Holding's IT department respectively.

Prince Saud Bin Naif Al Saud Inaugurates ZADK Saudi Culinary AcademyHis Royal Highness, Prince Saud Bin Naif Al Saud, inaugurated ZADK Saudi Culinary Academy in Khobar, which has a vision to create positive social change in Saudi Arabia by establishing a top-quality flagship Culinary Academy that becomes a platform for the Kingdom´s food sector. Nesma Trading is a co-founder and sponsor of ZADK. Nesma Holding’s vice president, Noura Alturki, sits on ZADK’s advisory board, while Mark Alderson, Nesma Catering’s general manager, is a member of ZADK's executive committee. Part of the inauguration included signing a number of agreements to support and sponsor scholarships for training in the academy, in addition to a memorandum of understanding with the Swiss Hospitality Academy.
As part of this effort, Nesma Trading will sponsor the training and education of five students who will be part of ZADK’s two-year diploma program in culinary arts. Nesma Trading received IKTVA’s Best Year Over Year Performance award, presented by Saudi Aramco and based on IKTVA scoring from Schlumberger.
The “In Kingdom Total Value Added” (IKTVA) program, is Saudi Aramco’s localization strategy to build a world-class supply chain and establish Saudi Arabia as a globally competitive energy hub in line with Vision 2030, the Kingdom’s economic diversification program.

Nesma Electric & Communications Signs First Contract in Bahrain Nesma Electric & Communications (NE&C) signed its first contract in the Kingdom of Bahrain for the construction of four 66kV substations at Almadinah Alshameyah with Bahrain’s Electricity & Water Authority (EWA) on a lump sum turnkey basis and as part of the 220kV & 66kV transmission development phase 2 which is being funded by the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD).
This project aims to provide Bahrain with the required energy for strategic housing projects and consists of the engineering, procurement and construction of the entire substation’s scope including but not limited to switchgear, power transformers, control, metering, protection and termination facilities for fiber optic cables.
Nesma & Partners Sponsors Project Management Symposium Forum Nesma & Partners was a gold sponsor of the Project Management Symposium (PMI-KSA) Forum in Jeddah.
The event focused on presenting effective project management topics and techniques for professionals and included discussing emerging projects in the renewable energy field.
The Forum also covered technologies such as the Internet of Things, the Internet of Energy, and the Internet of Water, robotics, artificial intelligence, and blockchain among other topics.
Nesma Art Gallery Hosts Exhibition for Four Artists Dr. Sadig Abdullah Dahlan, Chairman, University of Business & Technology, attended the inauguration of an exhibition at Nesma Art Gallery displaying the works of four female artists.
Noura Alzahrani, Hayat Alghamdi, Basma Almasoudi and Reham Mubarak presented 80 artworks in various styles of painting.

Vibration Analysis Technical Training for KAUST Project TeamA “Vibration Analysis” training was organized for Nesma Trading’s KAUST CUP project, targeting the project’s senior technical plant operation and maintenance team.
The training covered causes of vibration in machines and their associated spectrum, time waveform and vibration limits.
Nesma Catering Launches Spice Production CenterNesma Catering launched a spice production center in Khobar.
The new center plans to prepare and deliver the finest spices, herbs, blends and Masala mixes to ongoing Nesma Catering projects across the Kingdom.
Launching of the spice production center comes as a further approach by Nesma Catering towards producing high quality raw materials and end products.
Nesma Catering Acquires Three New International Certifications
ISO 9001:2015 is the international standard for quality management systems while ISO 45001:2018 is the new international standard for occupational health and safety that aims to provide a safe and healthy workplace for employees and visitors.
ISO 14001:2015 is the international standard for designing and implementing an environmental management system that provides assurance that environmental impact is being measured and improved.
Nesma Catering has acquired three new international certifications: ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015.
