Cisco support in the NetActMonitoring & Reporting applicationsenables the user to build networkviews that reflect the e2e physical

connectivity across the RadioAccess, Backhaul and Corenetworks. This combined withcommon alarm monitoring processesand tools enables events to becorrelated so that fault detection andisolation is expedited enabling fasterrestoration of service times.

Whilst predominantly designed tosupport Cisco within Mobile Backhauland Core (cell site, aggregation andcontroller site routers), the solution alsoenables support for other Cisco IOS,

IOSXR & IOS XE based devices thatmay be present in the operatorsenvironment.

Combined with the ability to manage theMicrowave Radio domain in addition,Nokia Siemens Network NetActprovides true e2e Mobile Broadbandassurance that negates the need forcomplex and risky integration projects.

NetAct Fault Management ReportsFault management reports (FM

Reports) provide the user with a webbased interface to see snap shots ofthe fault status at any given time. Thestatistical survey of alarms providesinformation that allows the user toidentify problems in the network, andto take corrective actions to improvethe network performance. The usercan define the scope of the report, forexample, the time frame or thenetwork elements and alarms. Thealarms can be selected by alarmclass and alarm status (active, or allalarms).

Report BuilderReport Builder is the centralapplication of the NetAct Reportingsystem. It allows the user to:

Create and manage KPIs

Create and manage reports

Manage the permissions toaccess data

Run reports.

The easy-to-use graphical userinterface and the use of a reportcreation wizard enables eveninexperienced SQL users to create

ad-hoc reports with the NetActReport Builder.

This application is designed to run a broad rangeof different reports on the performance data ofdifferent network technologies. Although it ispossible to use the NetAct Report Builder forad-hoc queries for example for troubleshooting,the main purpose is to administer the reportingenvironment.

Also URL links to other reports and sources canbe included to the reporting portal.

NetAct Report Explorer can provide the samereport to several different user groups by runningthe reports on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, orgenerating summary reports. The tool allowsoperations like sorting of the resulting data rows,or changing the time selection of a given report.

NetAct Report Explorer allows easy access tomanagement level information, and it also servesas a starting point for detailed troubleshooting.
