NETHERLANDS MD 110

NETHERLANDS - It is a small, densely populated country, lying mainly in Western Europe. It borders Germany to the east, Belgium to the south, and the North Sea to the northwest. The Netherlands is the world’s second largest exporter of food and agriculture products due mainly to the fertility of the soil and the mild climate. It is a parliamentary democracy and a constitutional monarchy. The country has a history of social tolerance and is generally regarded as a very liberal county by its recognition of abortion, prostitution, and euthanasia. The Netherlands joined the International Association of Lions Clubs in 1951 and its oldest club is the Amsterdam Host Lions Club.
