Programming and Commissioning made easy
The netIC IOT Starter Pack is made for manufacturers of industrial devices, who want to easily equip their products
with a netIC IOT, to extend them with Real-Time Ethernet communication and additionally with OPC UA and MQTT.
The core of the starter pack is a one-day training, in which one will learn all essential knowledge about netIC IOT.
Besides an introduction to netIOT „Industrial Cloud Communication“ and the basics about netIC IOT product,
the focus is on the Hilscher netPROXY technology, which provides a generic object interface to the customer
application.
Participants will learn the structure of the netPROXY interface to the host processor. And how netIC IOT will
be connected to an application running on a STM32 Nucleo development board. In addition, the netX Studio
engineering tool will be presented and the participants will learn how to create an object / product definition for their
device.
In practical exercises, the participants will connect netIC IOT to an STM32
host processor and put it in operation using EtherNet/IP and OPC UA.

Evaluation hardware
During the training one set of evaluation hardware will be provided,
consisting of:
u 1x NIOT-I-IC52-RE (netIC IOT)u 1x NIOT-I-ICEB-RE (netIC IOT Evaluation Board)u 1x NIOT-I-ICEB-SSIO (netIC IOT SSIO Extension)
In the context of the netIC IOT starter pack further sets of the evaluation hardware can be purchased with a 25% discount off the regular list price. The delivery will be done during the training and the number is limited to maximum 5 units.
One-day training
Content:u netIOT - From sensor to the cloud netIOT Interface / Edge / Service u Introduction to netIOT Interface - IoT data from the field level Structure of the IoT communication / netPROXY - protocol independent object interface u Overview about OPC UA and MQTT u netIOT Interface by the example of the product netIC IOT DPM structure / CIFX API & toolkit / netPROXY API & object handling u netXStudio, configuration tool for netIC IOT netPROXY device model definition / communication settings / netIC IOT specific hardware configuration / Web builder u Practical exercises Connect netIC IOT to a STM32 Nucleo Board / Putting into operation with EtherNet/IP and OPC UA
Participants: Max. 4 persons per workshop.
Dates:The dates will be agreed individually and the workshop will be held at Hilscher in Hattersheim between 9:00AM to 5:00PM. The training will take 1 day. For on-site workshops at the customer, additional costs will apply.
Prerequisites:Experiences in C programming language necessary Experiences in EtherNet/IP preferable

Support
The technical support for netIC IOT will be done on an hourly basis via
E-Mail or phone and can be ordered via appropriate support packages.
In the context of the netIC IOT Starter Pack, the customer receives a 5 hour support package, which includes access to the Hilscher ticket system.
