This document collects the frequently asked questions you may encounter when using Network.

If you can't find what you're looking for in this document, please contact us directly.

2 General

Some general issues that you may encounter when using Network.

What's the password for logging on to Network?

You should have received an email sent by [email protected] to activate your account. This email is triggered by your SAP Cloud Identity Services - Identity Authentication tenant administrator.

After you click the activation link,you'll be asked to set a password.

If you can't find the activation email in your inbox, please take a look at the spam folder. If you still can't find it, please contact your SAP Cloud Identity Services - Identity Authentication tenant administrator to send a new email.

Why can't I see any apps when I log on to Network?

It's likely that you haven't been assigned to any groups. Please contact your SAP Cloud Identity Services - Identity Authentication tenant administrator.

Why can't I save my changes?

Someone else has probably been editing and already saved a newer version. Please refresh the page to load the changes.

CautionAfter refreshing the page, all your changes will be lost. To keep track of the changes, you can take a screen capture first.

3 Collaboration Rooms

Answers to frequently asked questions about creating and working in collaboration rooms.

Why can't I see any collaboration rooms after I open the Collaboration Rooms app?

You can see only the collaboration rooms where you're a participant.

Possible causes are:

● You haven't been invited to any collaboration rooms.● You haven't accepted any invitations for collaboration.● You have been removed from all collaboration rooms.

Why can't I create collaboration rooms?

Only users from a customer organization can create collaboration rooms.

● If you're from a supplier organization, you can't create collaboration rooms. Your customers can create collaboration rooms and invite you for collaboration.

● If you're from a customer organization, please check with your SAP Cloud Identity Services - Identity Authentication administrator if you have been assigned to the right user groups.

Why can't I find a certain supplier to invite for collaboration?

Possible causes are:

● This supplier hasn't been approved for collaboration.For more information, see Approve or Block Collaboration Partners.

● This supplier doesn't provide the required service or the service is not activated..For more information, see Edit Supplier Profile.

Why can't I find a certain colleague to invite for collaboration?

Possible causes are:

● Your colleague hasn't been registered as an Network user.Please check with your SAP Cloud Identity Services - Identity Authentication administrator.

● Your colleague hasn't activated his or her user account by opening at least one app on the Fiori launchpad site.

Why can't I find a certain extension when creating a collaboration room?

Please check with the selected supplier if this extension has been enabled in their supplier profile.

Why can't I receive invitation email?

It's most likely that the invitation email is in the spam folder of your mail inbox.

In the unfortunate event that it's blocked entirely by your spam filter or is lost due to network issues, you can always go to the Collaboration Rooms app and find all pending invitations.

Why does my browser display "Link does not exist" error for the invitation link in the invitation email?

Please check with your IT department if the proxy server and firewall setting has blocked the domain klicthru.com.

Why have the prices become outdated for a production option?

If the customer updates the production requirement or the currency, the initial pricing provided by the supplier becomes outdated.

Can I reopen a completed collaboration?

Yes.

Can I unconfirm a production option?

Yes.

How do I assign a participant to a group?

You must be a collaboration lead to assign a participant to a group.

For more information, see Assign Participants to Collaboration Groups.

Why can't I receive email notification for a comment in Conversation?

The conversation may belong to a category that isn't relevant to your current collaboration groups. Please check with your collaboration lead if you've been assigned to the right groups.

Which category should I use when entering a comment in Conversation?

Enter your design-related or quality-related comments under the corresponding category; for everything else, enter them under the General category.

The category determines who receives email notification for your comments.

3.1 Design Files and Design Collaboration

Answers to frequently asked questions about design files and design collaboration.

Why did my design file fail to be uploaded?

Possible causes are:

● Network issue● You closed the Web browser or tab while the file was still being uploaded. This action disrupted the upload

process.

Can I prevent other participants from downloading my files?

You can prevent other participants from downloading 3D design files. To do so, when uploading a 3D design file, select the Protect from Download checkbox.

Why can't I download a file using the documents download API?

This file is protected from download, which was set by the file uploader.

Why can't I upload a design file to the root folder?

Some design files are also print files. In the root folder, only one print file is allowed.

Can I change the evaluation result?

Yes, as long as you're from the customer organization.

4 Parts Analysis

Answers to frequently asked questions about parts analysis. Note that this function is relevant only to the customer.

Why can't I import parts from a CSV file?

Possible causes are:

● The delimiter is not comma.● The column headers don't match the attributes.● One or more part ID is missing in the CSV file.

Can I unpublish a worklist?

Yes, you can unpublish a worklist and publish it for another extension. The original extension will not be able to update the worklist.

Why can't I find a certain extension in a parts analysis worklist?

A possible cause is that this extension hasn't been enabled for your organization.

5 Private Organizations

Answers to frequently asked questions about private customers and private suppliers.

I'm a customer. Can I have private customers?

No. A customer can have only private suppliers.

I'm a supplier. Can I have private suppliers?

No. A supplier can have only private customers.

How do I add a private organization?

Please follow the instructions in the administrator's guide.

Can my private customers / suppliers collaborate with other suppliers / customers?

A private customer can collaborate only with the inviting supplier. Likewise, a private supplier can collaborate only with the inviting customer.

6 Request for Quotation

Answers to frequently asked questions about sending requests for quotation to ERP systems. Note that this function is relevant only to the customer.

Which ERP system is supported for this function?

Currently only SAP S/4HANA Cloud is supported.

Why can't I see the Request for Quotation button in collaboration rooms?

Possibles causes are:

● Your administrator hasn't yet configured the integration or the configurations are not entirely correct.● You're not assigned to the Purchase group.

Why can't I select a system or a plant when creating a request for quotation?

This system or plant is not included in the integration configuration. Please contact your administrator.

Why can't I send requests for quotation to my ERP system?

Possible causes are:

● Network issue● The configurations are not (entirely) correct.

Please ask your administrator to check the configurations. For more information, see Integration Scenarios.

Answers to frequently asked questions about placing orders from within collaboration rooms.

How can I enable this function?

This function is enabled in the backend by SAP.

To send orders to a supplier, please contact us at [email protected].

Why is the Place an Order button disabled in some collaboration rooms?

If no production option is confirmed, you can't place orders. All orders are based on a confirmed production option and the corresponding initial pricing.

Why can't my supplier receive my orders placed from within a collaboration room?

A possible cause is that the extension being used by the supplier hasn't been enabled for your organization.

Can I place orders repeatedly in one collaboration room?

Yes.

As a supplier, can I update the order history?

Yes, please use the Orders API.

Why do I encounter error code 403 when calling an API?

This error can be caused by the following:

● If the error message is "Access Denied", it means that you don't have necessary authorizations.● If the error message is "Forbidden", it means that an access token is missing.

8.2 Events

Answers to frequently asked questions about events.

Why can't I receive events?

Steps to troubleshoot:

1. Check your corporate security settings and test if your callback URL is publicly available.For example, it's possible that the firewall prevents the callback.

2. Check if you've subscribed to the right event, in the Event Subscription app.3. Ask your SAP Business Technology Platform account administrator to check if the destination for the

callback has been configured correctly. For example, the URL (including the port number) and the credentials (user name and password).
