The boxes have been emptied and the office furniture and files are set up, but the walls are completely BARE' There are over 27 blank beige walls. We would like to feel close to our national and inter- national members, so we are asking you to help decorate and bring a little style to our offices by sending in posters of your cor- ner (city, region, state, or country) of the world. Any poster size will be welcome. We would also enjoy having patient photos (8" x 10" minimum size) to hang on our walls as a daily reminder to us of what AVA represents and who is important in our mission. Jean Weiss is the new Director of Com- munications. Jean is an Illinois native and graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has extensive experience in association, nonprofit, and corporate conununica- tions including membership, grant writing, public relations, fundraising, and marketing. This is a new position for AVA, and Jean will be overseeing development and implementation of all AVA marketing and communications. She will be in the office daily trom 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. (CST). Teri Smith is the new AVA Office Administrator/ Project Coor- dinator. She is originally trom Louisiana, but has lived in Missis- sippi for more than 30 years. Teri has almost 10 years of association and nonprofit administration experience. She will be managing the AVA administrative duties, including bookkeeping and membership.
