With building permits now secure, THS Constructors is proceeding with the rough stake-out of the building footprint and the installation of the aggregate pier foundation. The auger and vibra-probe are on site with installation beginning 4.7.20. All 137 aggregate piers are scheduled to be installed by April 13, 2020. As a “good neighbor” the church has circulated a memo to all surrounding neighbors on Race and Congress Streets advising of our construction progress. Due to the COD-19 virus and attendance restrictions at services, the contractor adjusted his construction schedule to the benefit of the parish, starting in April with the relocation of the chiller unit at the rear of the church. Furthermore, in a effort to expedite our ultimate move , and in exchange for moving forward immediately with the demolition of the Parish House, THS will be providing the church a 24’ x 60’ mobile unit to be placed at the rear of the parking lot adjacent to 11 Race Street - at no additional expense to the church. This unit, housing 4 classrooms and a large 500 sf meeting room with restroom, will replace the Parish House functions that previously served our Ministries. This will also help expedite the completion of construction as the U/G storm water retention is located under the approximate location of the existing Parish House. Our parishioners will see a great deal of activity occurring in April, including the installation of the foundations for the Social Hall and Kitchen. These are exciting times at Holy Trinity!
