To Whom It May Concern: Our initiative in downtown Goshen is to add value to the downtown infrastructure through intentional economic, civic and social investing. We intend to help revitalize the 120 N. Main Street location itself, and the entire 100 block of Main Street back into the thriving area it once was through our various rebuilding efforts. We plan to add value downtown in the following ways: Increase the property value of the building by investing a minimum of $350,000 in renovations, thus positively affecting surrounding properties Create a retail area that satisfies a need not currently met in the downtown area Initiate and cultivate the downtown Goshen “feel” of the blocks just south, which does not exist in the building and the block we wish to revitalize Work hand-in-hand with other organizations to help provide a holistic approach as our community seeks to help develop successful families, individuals and next generation leaders With a secured lender ready to finance our improvements, we plan to completely renovate the exterior and both interior floors all at once for a swift renovation. These improvements will feature much-needed upgrades, and will provide the functionality needed to bring the economic, civic and social value we desire. Our desire is to create an environment for any age group to hang out, study, and/or conduct meetings and other social gatherings. This retail space will feature free Wi-Fi, adequate and comfortable seating for various size groups, and a place to purchase assorted juices, teas, and coffees. One of the main features of this proposed retail space is to create an indoor kids’ playground. This play area will give families and children a place to go in the colder months. It will give parents a safe place to bring their children while they meet with friends, have a small date night, or even participate in a meeting. We believe this retail venture will be an economic driver to downtown because it will offer an inviting atmosphere for all age groups. More importantly, it will provide a safe, secure and clean indoor environment for children to play, which is a missing element in our downtown.

To Whom It May Concern:

Our initiative in downtown Goshen is to add value to the downtown infrastructure through intentional economic, civic and social investing. We intend to help revitalize the 120 N. Main Street location itself, and the entire 100 block of Main Street back into the thriving area it once was through our various rebuilding efforts. We plan to add value downtown in the following ways:

• Increase the property value of the building by investing a minimum of $350,000 in renovations, thus positively affecting surrounding properties

• Create a retail area that satisfies a need not currently met in the downtown area • Initiate and cultivate the downtown Goshen “feel” of the blocks just south, which does

not exist in the building and the block we wish to revitalize • Work hand-in-hand with other organizations to help provide a holistic approach as our

community seeks to help develop successful families, individuals and next generation leaders

With a secured lender ready to finance our improvements, we plan to completely renovate the exterior and both interior floors all at once for a swift renovation.

We notice that the 100 block of the downtown area is lacking the persona and culture of the blocks just south. It is our desire to initiate and help cultivate that same downtown “feel” that is featured in other blocks, but missing in the 100 block. We believe we can accomplish this through our proposed exterior improvements. We plan to initiate that cultural downtown identity in the 100 block by partitioning off six areas on the south wall in which local artists could display their talent. We believe this could initiate a collective response from our neighbors and be a stepping-off point to help move the 100 block to be a part of the downtown revitalization effort. It is our desire to be able to work more closely with local organizations to help meet various needs in our community. We currently work with The Post and the Goshen Warming Center to help bring hope and healing to those they reach out to. We have also worked with The Window and various other churches. It is also our desire to provide various workshops for the community of Goshen that will address topics as health, financial freedom, and healthy marriages and families. We also look to create educational and networking opportunities for young entrepreneurs and other leadership-based initiatives to help develop next generation leaders. We believe that the occupancy of New Life Church at 120 N. Main Street will help improve and revitalize the 100 block on Main Street. It is our desire:

• To invest a minimum $350,000 over and above the purchase price for improvements • Create a retail space with an indoor area for children, fulfilling a need not currently met

downtown • To initiate and continue to cultivate that downtown revitalized identity in the 100 block • To work with local organizations to help further the holistic community we all seek

We feel that New Life Church is the organization that has the vision, drive and financing to add a unique value to the downtown area. We will continue to revitalize that area of downtown economically and socially; something that has been needed for the last 15 years. The time is now to utilize that space for a purpose that not only the downtown can find value in, but that all of Goshen will too. Sincerely, T.J. Meehan Lead Pastor
