Duties and Responsibilities:
Hotel sales responsibilities include selling guestrooms, meeting space and other hotel services to customer groups.
Will also be responsible for conducting site inspections with prospective customers, as well as soliciting and generating new business.
During the sales process, will be responsible for negotiating contracts, pricing, credit terms, warranties and delivery dates.
The focus of hotel sales is group business. Groups typically purchase blocks of rooms and/or meeting and convention space.
Will also be responsible for preparing and presenting proposals, maintaining well-organized documentation and reports, attending and participating in various sales and hotel staff meetings, and coordinating customer-service requests as needed.
Hotel sales departments also often participate in trade shows or other promotional events to solicit new business.
